Milano Fashion & Jewels is preparing for a transformative 2026 edition as it officially becomes part of the new Fashion Link Milano ecosystem, uniting major Milan fairs including MICAM, MIPEL, TheOneMilano, and Sì Sposaitalia. This strategic integration aims to streamline the visitor journey and strengthen business opportunities across the entire fashion supply chain. In this exclusive interview, Exhibition Manager Filomena Sannino explains how MFJ 2026 will elevate buyer experience, highlight key trends, expand sustainable fashion initiatives, and deepen sourcing connections between international manufacturers and European brands.
Milano Fashion&Jewels is now part of the new FASHION LINK MILANO ecosystem. How will this integration with MICAM, MIPEL, TheOneMilano, and Sì Sposaitalia enhance the visitor and exhibitor experience in 2026?
Yes, of course. Starting from February 2026, Milano Fashion&Jewels is part of FASHION LINK MILANO. This is a great opportunity for buyers, because in one single location, Fiera Milano, and on the same dates, they will be able to explore the entire fashion system. It makes their visit easier, faster and much more efficient.
The new ecosystem brings together all the main segments of the extended fashion industry: ready-to-wear and programmed collections for retailers, jewelry and fashion accessories represented by Milano Fashion&Jewels, bridal and eveningwear through SI Sposaitalia, and premium outerwear and furs represented by TheOneMilano. Footwear is included through MICAM and leather goods through MIPEL.
In addition, the special READY TO SHOW area inside MFJ, curated by Georges Papa, offers a dedicated space for fashion sourcing. This helps buyers connect with international manufacturers and gives them an even more complete business experience.
For both visitors and exhibitors, this integration creates stronger synergies, better visitor flows and a more comprehensive platform that reflects the full fashion supply chain.
Why MFJ Stands Out Among Global Fashion Trade Shows?
Exhibiting at Milano Fashion & Jewels means being part of a city known worldwide for innovation, craftsmanship and style. The show offers strong visibility, high-quality buyers and a curated environment where creativity and business meet. It also benefits from Milano’s international reach, easy connections and vibrant cultural scene, making it a key destination for global fashion professionals.
If we add our INCOMING BUYER PROGRAM, which offers a hospitality package for the most important buyers, the event becomes even more attractive and valuable for exhibitors.
Another strong advantage is the timing: Milano Fashion & Jewels takes place right before Milan Fashion Week. This creates even more opportunities for connections, meetings, and visibility, and makes the whole experience richer for brands and visitors.
Buyers from France, South Africa, and Spain have praised the show’s curation and trend leadership. What key trends, materials, or aesthetics will define the 2026 edition?
We are truly honored and happy to receive such positive feedback from buyers in France, South Africa, and Spain. The buyer is our first and most important client, so when we select exhibitors, we always make sure to focus on the real needs of the market and of the people who are making purchasing decisions.
Fashion forecasting is essential: both to guide producers in developing the right products and to help buyers make confident and well-informed choices. Understanding how consumer tastes are evolving has become more strategic than ever, because it reduces the risk of developing the wrong collections or planning the wrong buying campaign.
At MFJ we are very aware of this. For many years, we have collaborated with the Politecnico di Milano and at every edition we present a dedicated trend analysis that is always very interesting and well received by our community. For 2026, we expect to see a mix of bold creativity and responsible design. Natural and recycled materials will continue to grow, along with modular and transformable accessories. Aesthetics will combine craftsmanship with futuristic touches, playful shapes, and color research, offering products that allow strong personal expression.
Sustainability remains a major focus for the industry. How is the ‘Exploring Sustainable Fashion’ area helping elevate brands championing slow fashion, craftsmanship, and environmentally responsible production?
Exploring Sustainable Fashion’ is a special area of MFJ fully dedicated to sustainability. It is curated in collaboration with Guya Manzoni, an expert in sustainable fashion, which gives the project strong credibility and depth. This area offers sustainable brands a clear and visible platform where their values, materials and production methods can be properly highlighted. It helps buyers understand the real value behind slow fashion, craftsmanship, and responsible production. It also provides educational content and storytelling, supporting brands that are committed to ethical, transparent and environmentally respectful practices.
READY TO SHOW @ MFJ creates a bridge between sourcing and design. How does this dedicated area support international manufacturers and private-label buyers seeking to work with Italian and European brands?
READY TO SHOW @ MFJ offers a professional space where both national and international manufacturers can present their capabilities and connect with private-label buyers. It helps buyers discover reliable partners from Italy, Europe and other key production countries, giving them a clear view of different manufacturing skills and quality standards.
The area also supports buyers in exploring customization options and understanding production processes, making the sourcing experience easier, faster and better aligned with market demands. In this way, READY TO SHOW @ MFJ creates a real bridge between sourcing and design, offering a complete and efficient platform for new collaborations.
Starting September 2026, Lineapelle and Simac Tanning Tech will join the ecosystem, extending the reach across the entire supply chain. How do you envision this expanded network shaping the future of Milan as the world’s most complete fashion business destination?
With Lineapelle and Simac Tanning Tech joining the ecosystem, Milano will become the only city offering the full fashion supply chain in one place: from raw materials to finished products. This will attract even more international professionals, encourage collaboration and support innovation across all sectors. The expanded network will position Milano as the most complete and influential fashion business hub worldwide.
