Expo Producción Mexico is set to return as one of Latin America’s premier forums for the textile, apparel, and manufacturing value chain. The upcoming edition will take place from September 25 to 27, 2025, at the Centro Banamex in Mexico City, in a strategic alliance with FESPA Mexico 2025. The co-location will allow attendees to explore cutting-edge developments in manufacturing, apparel, and digital printing within a single platform.
Industry Outlook in Mexico
Mexico faces a challenging economic landscape in 2025, with GDP growth projected between 0.1% and 1.2% and inflation close to 3.2%, according to the OECD and the Bank of Mexico. Nonetheless, the country’s manufacturing sector continues to demonstrate resilience, attracting more than 54% of total foreign direct investment in 2024—valued at US$36.9 billion.
The textile and apparel industry remains a cornerstone of the national economy, employing nearly 1.2 million people, with women representing 59% of the workforce in garment production. In 2023, Mexico exported US$9.3 billion worth of textiles but imported over US$13.3 billion, highlighting the need to strengthen local competitiveness and reduce trade imbalances.
A Platform for Innovation and Growth
Against this backdrop, Expo Producción 2025 positions itself as a catalyst for innovation. The exhibition will showcase the latest in fabrics, fibers, threads, non-wovens, textile machinery, and cutting and sewing equipment. Global brands and local manufacturers alike will leverage the event to create new business opportunities, forge alliances, expand distribution networks, and present emerging industry trends.
Synergy with FESPA Mexico 2025
The co-location with FESPA Mexico expands the show’s reach, incorporating digital printing, sublimation, textile printing, engraving, packaging, and labeling solutions. This integration reflects the growing convergence of manufacturing and printing technologies, driven by consumer demand for personalization, faster delivery, and seamless innovation.
Networking and Knowledge Exchange
In addition to the trade floor, Expo Producción will host a series of conferences and panels addressing crucial issues such as tariff policies affecting the textile sector, smart workwear with integrated technologies, and digital transformation in consumer markets. The program aims to foster dialogue among industry leaders, associations, and international experts, while also highlighting nearshoring opportunities that are reshaping regional supply chains.
