Held under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Latifa Bint Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture & Arts Authority, Dubai Design Week is the largest creative festival in the Middle East, reflecting Dubai’s position as the regional capital of design.
The six-day programme consists of design-related events, exhibitions, installations, competitions, talks and workshops, with the majority of events and activities being free to attend and accessible for both industry and public.
A platform for regional design and a catalyst for the growth and support of the creative community in Dubai and the UAE, Dubai Design Week aims to provide a dynamic environment where design meets opportunity, and economic diversity and cross-disciplinary collaboration is encouraged.
Design Disciplines Across the Festival
The varied programme covers a range of design disciplines including architecture, product design, interiors, multimedia and graphic design.
Dubai Design Week 2020 Programme Highlights
Key components of the programme include the region’s leading fair for high-quality, original design, Downtown Design; Global Grad Show, a year-round programme for graduate students across the world working on social impact innovation; and Abwab, an annually remodelled interactive platform for creative talent from the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia.
The programme also features an extensive selection of hybrid talks and workshops for design professionals, students and members of the public.

The event is owned and managed by the Art Dubai Group, staged in strategic partnership with Dubai Design District (d3), and supported by Dubai Culture & Arts Authority and A.R.M. Holding.
