Following its success with the ÉLAN pop-up, Dubai’s acclaimed multi-designer store VESIMI, is back in Mumbai with its second concept store.
Dubbed ‘ESCAPE’ – the pop-up is an annual favourite in Vesimi’s hometown, Dubai, where the curator presents its assortment of fuss-free, breezy and chic ensembles for the summer season.
Scheduled to take place at ‘ARTH’, Mumbai on Tuesday, 2nd May 2019, the pop-up will showcase collections by various designers, including Urvashi Joneja, Nitya bajaj, The Loom Art, Right Cut, Mul Mul, Monkey Brain and Co., The Jodi Life, Vedika M, Eurumme, Flirtatious, Straw India, Trevor, and Stephanie.
The limited edition holiday offering would highlight comfortable fits and classic silhouettes, in line with vacation inspired, resort offerings. The looks in focus would feature resort-wear, party-wear and Indo-western pieces priced between INR 500 to INR 15,000.
“When people go on holidays they anyways spend a lot during their trip, so we made a conscious effort to keep the assortment light on the pocket. Easy separates such as swimwear, kaftans and breezy dresses would be all be on display and available for under INR 15K.”

It doesn’t end here – right from the collection, to the invite, to the venue and the décor- everything has been painstakingly thought of and designed around a theme. Mumbai-based doodle artist Khushboo Lalwani designed the invites which come in a quirky bright orange miniature suitcase which additionally include other props such as luggage tags and universal plugs – essentials for those on the go.

Prior to this, Vesimi brought Pakistan-based fashion label ÉLAN, to India in October last year. The popup displayed the label’s pret, lawn, and couture pieces from three collections.
