The CHT Group Sustainability Report 2024 is Now Online!

CHT Group publishes Sustainability Report 2024: 84% of sales generated with sustainable solutions

The CHT Group has published its Sustainability Report 2024, which shows significant progress in the ecological transformation of its business activities. With sales of EUR 619 million and sustainable chemical solutions accounting for 84% of total sales, the group has already exceeded its own targets for 2025 in the 2024 financial year.

“Sustainability is and remains our overarching corporate goal, which is why we invest our resources in a targeted manner where they have the greatest impact – for our customers, for society, and for the environment. Sustainability is and remains the future of our company,” emphasizes Dr. Lorenza Sartorelli, COO of the CHT Group.

Important progress in 2024:

  • Climate protection: Confirmation of science-based targets by the SBTi. Reduction targets: -42% (Scope 1+2) and -25% (Scope 3) by 2030; climate neutrality by 2045.
  • Energy & production: Increased use of renewable energies and resource savings in manufacturing.
  • Sustainable chemical solutions: Introduction of innovative products such as COOL DYE (textile dyeing for recyclable fibers) and Pigmentura (binderfree pigment dyeing process).
  • Supply chain: 100% of suppliers have signed the CHT Code of Conduct; sustainability assessments and risk analyses ensure standards are met.
  • Social commitment: 95% of employees worldwide receive more than a living wage; comprehensive programs for occupational safety, further training, and diversity.

The CHT Group once again received the EcoVadis Gold rating in 2024, making it one of the leading companies in its industry in the field of sustainability management.

Traditionally high priority given to sustainability

The company’s founder already shaped this principle. The company established climate neutrality as a goal at an early stage and has been voluntarily publishing sustainability reports for over ten years to transparently present its progress. In its latest report, the CHT Group has voluntarily applied the stricter requirements of the new reporting obligations for the first time – even before this becomes mandatory. The basis for this is an analysis based on the principle of double materiality, which takes into account both the impact on the environment and society as well as the financial opportunities and risks for the company.

This enables the sustainability strategy to be managed and further developed on an even more sound basis.

The CHT Group’s commitment extends beyond its own company: Chemical solutions are designed to actively support customers in achieving their own sustainability goals – whether through innovative, resource-saving products or tailor-made applications that enable sustainable processes. The aim is for customers to be able to label their products with a clear sustainability label, supported by CHT’s solutions.

Sustainability as a guarantee for the future

Sustainability has long been more than just a goal: it is a living reality across the three dimensions of people, planet, and performance. With its clear commitment to developing innovative solutions and setting new standards, the CHT Group is taking on a visionary pioneering role in the sustainable transformation of the chemical industry. The progress achieved proves that responsible action and economic success go hand in hand – and that the CHT Group is further expanding its leading position and actively shaping the future.

“For us, sustainability is not a trend, but an integral part of our strategy and business model. With smart chemistry, we are making a measurable contribution to climate protection and resource conservation – for our customers and for future generations,” says Dr. Annegret Vester, Chief Sustainability Officer of the CHT Group.
