Canada Showcases Innovation at “One Voice Together” Industry Event

Leaders from across Canada’s textile, apparel, and footwear sectors gathered at the One Voice Together event, a collaborative initiative hosted by the Canadian Textile Industry Association (CTIA) in partnership with the Director Soldier Systems Program Management (DSSPM) of National Defence and Technitextile Québec.

United Message: Buy Canadian, Support Innovation

With a unified call to action — “Buy Canada”— the event highlighted the importance of supporting domestic production and strengthening Canada’s strategic supply chain, particularly for technical textiles and advanced manufacturing.

Collaboration Across Industry and Government

Over 300 Participants and 48 Exhibitors

The two-day event brought together:

  • More than 300 industry representatives
  • 48 exhibitors showcasing innovative textile, apparel, and footwear solutions
  • Municipal, provincial, and federal decision-makers

Participants engaged in productive business meetings, panel discussions, and networking sessions that emphasized collaboration, supply-chain resilience, and innovation.

Showcasing Canada’s Capacity and Global Competitiveness

A Platform for Future Growth

From next-generation soldier systems and protective gear to high-value advanced textiles, exhibitors demonstrated Canadian leadership in specialty and technical manufacturing.
Panel discussions highlighted:

  • Innovation in advanced materials
  • Sustainability and circularity in textile production
  • Opportunities for expanding domestic sourcing and supply chain capabilities

A Successful Step Toward a Stronger, Self-Sufficient Ecosystem

Organizers thanked all attendees, noting that the high level of engagement reflected the strength, capacity, and economic importance of Canada’s textile sector.

“One Voice Together shows what we can achieve when industry and government move in the same direction — with one voice.”
