Textile Export Council of Egypt to Participate in GTR North Africa 2026

The Textile Export Council of Egypt (TEC) will participate in GTR North Africa 2026, a regional conference focused on trade and export finance.

The event will take place on 13 and 14 October 2026 at the Dusit Thani Lakeview Hotel in Cairo, bringing together regional and international representatives from the trade, finance and export sectors.

Cairo Hosts North Africa’s Trade Finance Community

GTR North Africa 2026 will provide a two-day platform for discussions, networking and potential cooperation among companies, financial institutions, exporters and other stakeholders involved in regional trade.

The conference comes as exporters across North Africa continue to navigate financing requirements, changing international markets and the need to establish stronger connections with banks, investors and trade-support organisations.

TEC’s participation will provide an opportunity to represent Egypt’s textile export sector within the wider trade-finance community. Access to suitable financing mechanisms is particularly important for textile manufacturers seeking to expand production, enter new markets and manage the longer payment terms frequently associated with international business.

The Council’s presence may also help increase awareness of the capabilities of Egyptian textile exporters among regional and international decision-makers attending the conference.

Supporting Egypt’s Textile Export Ambitions

Egypt is working to expand its textile and apparel exports by building on its manufacturing base, geographical position and access to regional and international markets.

Connecting textile producers with export-finance providers can support this objective by improving access to working capital, reducing commercial risks and helping companies manage cross-border transactions.

GTR North Africa 2026 will bring these discussions to Cairo at a time when stronger cooperation between industry, finance and government institutions is becoming increasingly important for export development.

The Textile Export Council of Egypt will showcase the country’s textile sector during the conference and engage with participants exploring trade and investment opportunities in North Africa.
