Uludağ Exporters’ Associations Close 2024 with Record-Breaking $38.6 Billion in Exports

Uludağ Exporters’ Associations (UİB), Turkey’s second-largest export hub according to General Secretariat data, concluded 2024 on a high note with an impressive $38.6 billion in total exports, reflecting a 6% year-on-year growth. December alone contributed $3.65 billion, marking a 9% increase compared to the same month in 2023.

Despite global economic challenges and sluggish demand worldwide, Turkish exporters demonstrated resilience and adaptability, driving strong performance across several key sectors. UİB’s success stands as a testament to the competitiveness and quality of Turkish goods on the global stage.

“While 2024 was challenging for the global economy, with significant demand contraction, our country ended the year with increased exports,” said UİB Coordinating Chairman. “Our exporters played a crucial role, and we’re proud to finish the year with a record performance.”

Sectoral Performance Highlights:

🔹 Uludağ Automotive Industry Exporters’ Association (OİB)

As the leading force within UİB, OİB achieved $3.1 billion in December exports and a remarkable $32.3 billion for the full year, marking a 7% annual increase. This cements OİB’s role as a pillar of Turkey’s automotive sector in global markets.

🔹 Uludağ Textile Exporters’ Association (UTİB)

UTİB delivered $95.8 million in exports in December, closing the year with $1.27 billion in textile exports. The sector continues to be a cornerstone of Turkish manufacturing, blending tradition with modern innovation.

🔹 Uludağ Ready-Made Clothing and Confectionery Exporters’ Association (UHKİB)

With $56.1 million exported in December, UHKİB reached $863 million in 2024. The ready-wear and apparel industry remains a key player in supporting Turkey’s fashion and design exports.

🔹 Uludağ Fruit and Vegetable Products Exporters’ Association (UMSMİB)

UMSMİB achieved a 5% growth, exporting $312 million worth of processed fruit and vegetable products. December alone accounted for $30.9 million, underlining the global appetite for Turkish agri-food excellence.

🔹 Uludağ Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association (UYMSİB)

UYMSİB reported $206.5 million in total 2024 exports, with $12.6 million generated in December. Turkey’s fresh produce remains a preferred choice in many international markets for its quality and variety.
