State-of-the-Art RUBENIS Factory Uses Mayer & Cie. Circular Knitting Machines

Turkish knitwear manufacturer relies mainly on Relanit

Twenty-five tonnes of knitwear per day is the Rubenis knitting factory’s production capacity.

The fully integrated textile company based in Istanbul, Turkey, commenced operations at the beginning of 2021 in its new, state-of-the-art production facility with only Mayer & Cie. machines.

Over thirty of the German premium manufacturer’s circular knitting machines are in use at Rubenis. They knit single jersey, double jersey, rib structures, fleece – in short, everything a customer could wish for.

At its factory Rubenis uses only organic cotton from its own spinning mill. Fabric is supplied in 100- to 250-kilogram rolls.

Mayer & Cie.’s Relanit 3.2 HS is one of the most productive single jersey circular knitting machines in the market.

Two-thirds of the circular knitting machines on the Rubenis shop floor, all with industrial frames and housed in separate cabins to prevent fluff from spreading, are Relanit 3.2 HS models. The most common model of this highly productive machine type is the 32-inch version, followed by the 30- and 26-inch versions.

All Relanit 3.2 HS machines knit to an E28 gauge. They are extraordinarily productive in processing elastomeric yarns too. Rubenis also uses several MBF 3.2 three-thread fleece machines and D4 2.2 IIs. The interlock specialists knit to an E18, the MBF 3.2 to an E24 gauge on a 32-inch frame.

About Mayer Mümessillik

Mayer Mümessillik has been carrying the duty of being the agency of Mayer & Cie since 1993 and Stoll since 2010 successfully. For circular knitting Mayer & Cie is offering more than 40 types of machines and for flat knitting Stoll is offering machines with 2 and 3 systems generally.

ADF is the name of the machine which Stoll has released innovatively and the main advantage of this machine is that yarn carriers can move independently from each other for allowing various pattern structures which is not possible in a conventional flat knitting machine.

In Turkey there are many companies for textile machines manufacturing. However, these manufacturers are mostly serving in Turkey rather than being an international player. During Coronavirus Pandemic, Turkey found itself as in the center of production of the world again, so to speak.

The cancelled orders of far eastern producers have been Turkey’s new orders. In this sense, both textile production and textile machinery investments have increased in Turkey.

Turkey is one of the most important textile countries in the world and will also be in the future thanks to the modern production lines, geographic location and of course experience gained in long years.
