Rieter Secures Historic Order from Shanghai Digital Intelligence World Industrial Technology Group

In a landmark agreement, Rieter has signed a major follow-up contract with Shanghai Digital Intelligence World Industrial Technology Group Co., Ltd. (DIW) for over 700 of its Autoconer X6 winding machines. This order represents the largest in the history of Rieter China, solidifying the strategic partnership between the two companies aimed at revolutionizing spinning operations with cutting-edge technology.

Rieter–DIW Partnership Strengthens with New Autoconer X6 Order

The Autoconer X6, integral to the ring spinning and compact-spinning process, is known for its high productivity, intelligent automation, and superior splicing and winding quality. This significant acquisition will bolster DIW’s vertical integration and accelerate its growth in the cotton spinning industry, reinforcing its dominance in global markets.

This new order follows an initial batch placed in March 2024, when Rieter and DIW first partnered to advance intelligent yarn manufacturing technology, leveraging digitization and automation to reduce conversion costs and maximize customer value.

Liu Yifang, Vice Chairman of DIW, emphasized the mutual benefits of the partnership: “This collaboration is a win-win for both companies. Our vertically integrated manufacturing operations are among the world’s most advanced, positioning us ideally for industry growth. Together, we will enhance DIW’s overall operational efficiency, establishing us as a major player in cotton spinning.”

Michael Hubensteiner, Country Managing Director of Rieter China, echoed this optimism: “Rieter’s high-performance winding machines will help DIW meet the rising demands for higher operational efficiency. This renewed cooperation will amplify our shared strengths, allowing us to seize growth opportunities and ensure long-term stability in our partnership.”

The agreement marks a significant milestone in the ongoing collaboration between Rieter and DIW, promising to drive innovation and excellence in the textile industry.
