• Heritage Forward is the theme of the 33rd edition of the fair, which will once again take place at Villa Erba in Cernobbio, Italy.
• Coming from 14 countries across 4 continents, the 87 exhibitors represent the very best of the production for furnishing fabrics, curtains, trimmings and wallcoverings.
• The fair experience is further enhanced by more welcoming shared spaces, designed by architect Cristina Celestino.
From 5 to 7 May 2026, Villa Erba will host the 33rd edition of Proposte, the international fair showcasing the most important manufacturers of furnishing fabrics, curtains, trimmings and wall coverings, attracting an international professional audience.
A New Leadership and Vision
The 2026 edition marks the debut of the new presidency of Marco Parravicini, who joins director Massimo Mosiello in leading an event that, year after year, has consolidated its reputation as an exclusive platform where creativity, industry and the market meet.
The theme chosen for the new edition, Heritage Forward, aims to emphasize how heritage — rooted in quality and research — is the foundation for future success. Not merely a statement, but a commitment to building a valuable future together, based on passion, expertise and responsibility.
“Proposte represents a heritage built over time thanks to a rigorous selection process and a shared vision with exhibiting companies,” says President Marco Parravicini. “With Heritage Forward, we want to reaffirm the value of our manufacturing legacy, projecting it toward the future challenges of the sector: technological innovation, responsibility and internationalization. Quality remains our cornerstone, but it is through continuous evolution that we intend to strengthen the fair’s role in the global landscape.”
These key values are shared with the 87 exhibiting companies, the true protagonists of Proposte. Coming from 14 countries across 4 continents, they are carefully selected to represent production excellence in the sector. Alongside long-standing exhibitors — some of whom have participated since the first edition — this year’s offering expands with eight new Italian companies, the first participation of a Lithuanian company, the return of a Scottish company, and the new admission of a Belgian manufacturer.
“The 2026 edition confirms Proposte’s ability to attract highly qualified companies and strategic international markets,” says Massimo Mosiello, director of the event. “The growth in international participation and the entry ofnew companies demonstrate the vitality ofthe sector and the fair’s central role as a space for targeted networking and concrete business opportunities.”

The Heritage Forward concept will also be tangibly expressed through the exhibition spaces, which are becoming an increasingly integral part of the visitor experience. To further enhance the extraordinary location of the Villa Erba congress center — designed by architect Mario Bellini — one of the most appreciated contemporary interior architecture studios has been commissioned: Cristina Celestino Studio. With its refined and distinctive language, the studio will interpret the edition’s theme through an interior design project involving the fair’s common areas. The intervention will mainly focus on the Ala Regina, which will once again play a central role in the exhibition route. The scenic Sala Esedra, overlooking the centuries-old gardens, will be transformed into a sophisticated and striking lounge, designed to host business meetings as well as cultural and entertainment programming. The project will also extend to the fair’s cafés and the entrance portals to the exhibition areas, creating a coherent design vision that combines identity, comfort and quality of experience.
“For Proposte, I imagined spaces capable of restoring centrality to the experience of meeting, through a language that dialogues with the architectural identity of Villa Erba and the textile tradition, reinterpreting them with a contemporary sensibility,” says architect Cristina Celestino.
The collaboration between Proposte and Comocrea Interni also continues. The event dedicated to textile design for home furnishings will take place on the same dates at the exhibition center located at the sports hall in Via Privata Bernasconi, Cernobbio.
In a constantly evolving economic and productive context, Proposte confirms itself as a privileged observatory on the evolution of high-end furnishing textiles and a reference point for an international community that recognizes quality, research and direct relationships as its founding values. With Heritage Forward, the event renews its commitment to preserving a unique manufacturing heritage while guiding it toward new horizons of innovation and development. From Lake Como, once again, a shared vision of the sector’s future takes shape.
