Lagos Leather Fair 2025: Africa’s Leather Industry Takes Center Stage

The 8th edition of the Lagos Leather Fair (LLF 2025) is set to take place from June 28–29, 2025, at Balmoral, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos. Celebrating Africa’s thriving leather sector, the event returns under the powerful theme “DESIGNING FOR TOMORROW,” aiming to spark transformation and innovation across the continent’s leather industry.

Organised by Femi Olayebi, founder of Femi Handbags and visionary convener of LLF, this year’s fair promises to go beyond traditional showcases, offering leather creatives and entrepreneurs a platform to collaborate, learn, and elevate African craftsmanship to global standards.

“Africa’s leather industry is a sleeping giant bursting with potential,” Olayebi stated. “LLF 2025 is a movement—not just an event—equipping designers with the insight, access, and connectivity they need to thrive globally.”

A Growing Catalyst for Change

Since its debut in 2017, LLF has evolved into a critical industry driver, catalyzing market expansion, skills development, and international recognition for African leather brands. LLF 2025 further accelerates this mission with a year-round focus on tackling key challenges such as raw material access, financing, supply chain inefficiencies, and technology adoption.

LLF 2025 Highlights

  • Exhibitions: A curated showcase of the finest leather brands from across Africa.
Masterclasses & Conversations: Over 20 speakers will explore transformative themes including AI in leather design, cross-border payments, effective pricing, and the “Made in Africa” narrative.
