Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles – Autumn Edition will complement its international sourcing platform with an extensive fringe programme focused on design, sustainability, technology and global industry cooperation.
Taking place from 18 to 20 August 2026 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai, the programme will bring together textile experts, designers, innovators and industry decision-makers through presentations, panel discussions, guided tours and trend experiences.
The programme is organised around four main themes: Palette, Go-Green, NextGen and Connector. Together, these areas are designed to provide visitors with practical market intelligence and new perspectives on the future of home and contract textiles.
Four Themes Address the Changing Home Textile Market
The four themes reflect the industry’s increasing need to combine creative design with environmental responsibility, technological development and stronger connections across the supply chain.
The visual identity developed for the programme brings textile craftsmanship together with forward-looking innovation. Tactile surfaces, movement and architectural calm are combined with raw lines, material transparency and digital precision.
This approach creates a unified narrative around circularity, technology, creativity and connection.
Palette: Creativity and Interior Design
Palette focuses on aesthetics, creativity and emerging design directions within the home textile industry.
The programme will explore how colours, materials, patterns and lifestyle concepts can influence product development and interior environments. It will also highlight the relationship between textile products, consumer lifestyles and changing approaches to interior design.
Trend presentations and curated product displays will help visitors understand how new creative ideas can be translated into commercially relevant collections.
Go-Green: Circularity and ESG Requirements
Go-Green is dedicated to sustainability and the environmental transformation of the home textile sector.
The programme will examine circular production practices, responsible material use and strategies for helping manufacturers respond to the expectations of the environmental, social and governance era.
As brands and buyers demand greater transparency, traceability and environmental responsibility, the theme will provide a platform for discussing practical approaches to more sustainable production.
NextGen: Smart Textiles and AI-Driven Design
NextGen will explore how innovation and emerging technologies are reshaping home textiles.
Topics are expected to include smart textiles, digital manufacturing and artificial intelligence-driven design. The programme will examine how technology can support creative development, improve production and respond to new consumer requirements.
AI tools are increasingly being incorporated into colour development, pattern creation, market analysis and product visualisation. At the same time, smart materials are creating new possibilities for comfort, wellness and functional performance within living spaces.
Connector: Global Markets and Supply-Chain Cooperation
Connector will focus on industry development, business strategies and international market intelligence.
Through discussions and professional exchanges, the theme aims to strengthen communication between manufacturers, designers, buyers and other members of the textile value chain.
The programme will also explore strategies for reinforcing supply-chain integration and responding to changing market conditions through stronger industry cooperation.
Intertextile International Lifestyle Trends 2027
One of the main highlights will be the Intertextile International Lifestyle Trend Area 2027, curated in collaboration with international trend forecasting agency NellyRodi.
Products submitted by exhibitors will be selected by designers and presented across three principal directions: Re-Decorate, Re-Connect and Re-Use. These directions reflect the growing importance of creative renewal, human connection and responsible material use in future home environments.
Visitors will be able to gain trend intelligence from expert presentations and guided tours led by Cécile Rosenstrauch. The programme is intended to help manufacturers, buyers and designers understand how broader social and lifestyle changes could influence future product development.
The International Lifestyle Trend Area will be located at Booth 6.1H F30.
