India’s largest textile park is almost ready, says TSIIC

All the facilities that are essential for any garment or textile unit to begin construction are in place at Kakatiya Mega Textile Park – coming up fast at Sayampet, Warangal.

This was confirmed by Mihir Parekh, Director, Mega Textile Park in Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation, better known as TSIIC.

While speaking to the media, Mihir said that there is a dedicated water line and also regular supply of power, which makes it easy for all those looking forward to set up their units here.

He also added that further development of the park goes in parallel with construction of manufacturing units.

The park, at the time of its launch, aimed to create 1 lakh jobs when fully operational. However, today land has not been allotted to many manufacturing units who are keen to start the construction in the park, though TSIIC reportedly said it is still in process.

Location is another big advantage as Telangana is one of the top 3 producers of cotton in the country.

Built on an area of 2,000 acres of land, the foundation stone of the park was laid on 22 October 2017.

It is important to note here that several companies, which initially showed interest in setting up units in the park, have now backed out for some reason or the other. However, TSIIC is optimistic that the current infrastructure is good enough for manufacturing units to begin construction.
