In a recent interview, Mr. Alex Zucchi, President of CEMATEX, shared insights on the remarkable success of the ITMA Asia + CITME 2024 exhibition held in Shanghai. Despite global challenges, the event surpassed expectations in terms of participation and visitor quality.
Exhibition Success Boosts Industry Confidence
Mr. Zucchi expressed his surprise at the positive turnout, stating, “We were not expecting such results, especially after the difficulties posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Companies are eager to return to business, even amid complex geopolitical conditions.”
He noted the improvement in foreign participation and emphasized the preparedness of the visitors. “The feedback from our German, Italian, Spanish, and Belgian members indicates that attendees are knowledgeable and know exactly what they are seeking,” he added.
While acknowledging the ongoing global challenges, Mr. Zucchi remains optimistic about the textile industry’s resilience and confidence moving forward.
