The electricity and industrial technology sector is entering a key phase of international expansion, with particularly strong opportunities emerging in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. In this context, amec, the Spanish association representing industrial and technological companies, has organized a reverse trade mission bringing together its member companies with key prescribers and decision-makers from the United Arab Emirates, Tunisia, and Egypt.
Strategic Markets and Industrial Collaboration
Over the course of three days, the international delegates had the opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the capabilities of Spanish companies, including site visits and business meetings. As part of the programme, the group also attended MATELEC at IFEMA Madrid, one of Spain’s leading trade fairs for the industrial and energy sectors, which served as a central platform for networking and technology exchange.
According to amec, the main objective of the mission was to promote trade and long-term collaboration between Spanish technology providers and high-potential markets in the MENA region. By facilitating direct interaction with local prescribers, the initiative aimed to position Spanish companies as reliable partners in strategic international projects.
