AMEC Forum 2026 brought together industrial companies and speakers to examine how manufacturers can improve productivity as technology, workforce needs, data and global competition reshape their operations.
Hosted by AMEC Positive Industry, the event focused on productivity as a means of strengthening industrial competitiveness. Alejandro Gallego Alcaide, AMEC’s Director of International Business, opened and hosted the forum.
Revisiting Industrial Management Principles
The discussions considered the continuing relevance of ideas associated with Frederick Winslow Taylor, Henry Ford, Taiichi Ohno and Peter Drucker, whose work shaped approaches to efficiency, production and management.
According to Gallego Alcaide, these principles remain relevant as companies confront a new set of productivity challenges. The forum provided an opportunity to reflect on how established management thinking can inform decisions about technology, talent and the use of data.
Manufacturers Share Perspectives on Productivity
Participating companies included SIMON, Roca Group, Masats, Hiperbaric, SIDE Automatización, TMI Bagging & Palletizing, Industrias Tapla, Volpak and Paulig Group. Speakers included representatives from VisualPolitik and José Agustín Cruelles Ruíz.
The gathering formed part of AMEC’s work to help industrial businesses anticipate change and strengthen their position in international markets, with productivity serving as the central theme for the 2026 edition.
