Bangladesh to increase trade exchanges with Iran

Bangladesh economic attaché in Tehran Mohammed Sabour Hussein on Wednesday referred to economic sanctions against Iran and called for expansion of economic cooperation with Iran.

He made the remarks in a meeting with members of Kashan chamber of commerce, mines and industries on Wednesday in the city of Kashan.

Bangladesh is to increase the volume of trade exchanges between the two countries which was decreased by 60 percent due to unfair economic sanctions against Iran, he said.

Carpet and carpet-weaving industry in Kashan can help increase the volume of trade cooperation between the two countries as Bangladesh is one of the major producers of carpet lace in the world.
