Pakistan’s home textile exports to China recorded an impressive 31% rise during the first three quarters of 2025, reaching $4.36 million between January and September, up from $3.32 million in the same period last year, according to data from the General Administration of Customs of China (GACC).
During this time, Pakistan exported a diverse range of home textile products — including cotton bed sheets, blankets, and printed cotton bed-linen — reflecting a growing demand in China for the country’s quality textile offerings.
The printed cotton bed-linen segment (not knitted or crocheted) led the surge, climbing from $0.849 million in 2024 to $1.577 million in 2025. Pakistan exported 190,463 kilograms under HS code 63022190, retaining its top exporter position ahead of Bangladesh, which recorded $1.12 million in the same category.
Competitive Edge Through CPFTA
Other categories also saw robust growth: cotton blankets and traveling rugs rose sharply from $0.018 million to $0.353 million, while cotton bed sheets (not knitted, crocheted, printed, or embroidered) increased from $0.406 million to $0.544 million.
Industry experts attribute this growth to enhanced production capacity, improved quality standards, and expanded market access facilitated by the China-Pakistan Free Trade Agreement (CPFTA). The zero-tariff advantage under CPFTA continues to strengthen Pakistan’s competitiveness in the Chinese market, positioning its home textiles as a preferred choice among buyers.
