Textile is one of the main industries in Pakistan. It is the most important sector of the economy whereby it imparts 46% share in total manufacturing. It contributes about 66% of the total exports and 38% in the value-added production by the manufacturing sector.

Garment manufacturing is one of the major and growing sub-sector within the textile value chain. This sector consumes the major workforce of the textile industry and contributes to a high growth rate in exports.

Due to Pandemic many companies in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and … face difficulties and hard situation by cancelling orders from European and American brands. What is your solution for a win-win condition between international brands and Asian producers?
The COVID19 is a nightmare especially for the under developing countries like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh. In such difficult times, we had seen a very negative I would say the response of the developed countries like the US and Europe.

Like we were pushed to give discounts and lots of in-process orders were cancelled and payments delayed for almost 180days from 30days normal Leadtime. Despite of the challenges of poverty in our country, factories decided to lay off their workers/strengths almost 50% on average by all companies or some companies have not fired but they have reduced salaries up to 50% which is very big impact on normal salary person.

As a denim and yarn producer in Pakistan, how do you evaluate the textile and fashion industry in, the Middle East and Africa and its potentials for Future? Do you have any export to this region?
We don’t have export to Africa but yes we have small quantity export in the Middle East, I strongly believe Africa is the biggest market and now many brands have established their factories knowing the labour cost and the other resources are at a very low level. So, I guess now it has to be monitored and countries should go to explore more opportunities like African side.

6. COVID 19 shows us we should rely more on sustainability and green products, how we can improve sustainability in Denim and textile industry? do you have any plan ?
I believe, this has been realized before this COVID, it has become talk of the town now every brand is demanding sustainable products. The reason why it is so monitored now because the consumption of natural resources on this manufacturing business is huge impact. which is why they have decided to make a strategy how to fight against this global warming.

At the company level, we took the following steps/plan to offer more sustainable products to our customer.

An offer for SUSTAINABLE PRODUCTION OF DENIM & GARMENTS by MASTER
Scoring a good deal on expensive clothes feels splendid, but we at MASTER TEXTILE aims to reduce the consumption of water to the maximum through a sustainable process.

-FINISHES AND WASHES Laser technology:
We eliminate harmful processes for worker’s health like sandblasting, hand-sanding and Potassium Permanganate spray (PP Spray).

Ozone Technology:
With the ozone, we eliminate the risk of pollution and damaging emissions for the environment at the same time-saving water, energy and chemicals.

E-flow technology:
Water is over, Air is the future!
With this tech, atmospheric air is transformed into nanobubbles and skin of nanobubbles transports chemicals to the garments. Helping in softening, stone, random & enzyme or even pigment, reactive and wrinkles free process.
