ShinWon Strengthens Technical Wear Competitiveness with 13 Years of Wader Manufacturing Expertise

  • Builds specialized expertise in wader production requiring advanced waterproofing, breathability and seam-sealing techniques
  • Ensures reliability of high-performance products through rigorous quality control across the entire production process
  • Expands technical wear portfolio to further differentiate its manufacturing capabilities

ShinWon Corporation (CEO: JJ Park), a global apparel manufacturer, is strengthening its capabilities in technical wear, building on 13 years of experience in wader production and high-performance waterproof apparel.

ShinWon began producing waders in 2013 and has since developed extensive expertise in one of the more technically demanding categories of waterproof apparel. Designed for fishing and other water-based activities, waders must withstand prolonged exposure to water while maintaining breathability, durability and comfort.

Wader production requires precise manufacturing techniques, particularly seam sealing and leak prevention. Even minor stitching defects can compromise waterproof performance, making strict process control essential throughout production.

Over the years, ShinWon has worked with leading global brands in the wader market, gaining experience across a wide range of materials, specifications and performance requirements. This has helped the company further refine its capabilities in working with waterproof and breathable fabrics, seam sealing and other specialized manufacturing processes. In 2016, ShinWon relocated and expanded its wader production facilities to Vietnam.

Quality Control Across Waterproof Apparel Production

Quality control remains a key part of ShinWon’s technical wear manufacturing capabilities. The company manages quality throughout the production process, from raw materials to finished products, with a particular focus on waterproof performance and durability. This approach has enabled ShinWon to consistently meet the stringent quality requirements of global brands and build a proven track record in high-performance apparel manufacturing.

ShinWon now plans to apply the expertise gained through wader production to a broader range of technical products, including drysuits. By expanding its technical wear portfolio and continuing to enhance its manufacturing and quality control capabilities, the company aims to pursue new opportunities with global outdoor and performance brands across the OEM/ODM market.
