The grand opening of ITMA ASIA + CITME Singapore 2025 was marked by a celebratory message from Mr. Liang Pengcheng, Executive Vice President of The Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT (CCPIT TEX), commemorating both the start of Asia’s premier textile technology exhibition and the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Singapore.
In his welcoming remarks, Mr. Liang extended his warmest greetings to all exhibitors, professional visitors, and industry partners from around the world, expressing gratitude for their continued support of ITMA ASIA + CITME.
“Anchored in Singapore, a strategic gateway to South Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East, ITMA ASIA + CITME is more than an international textile machinery showcase. It is a vital platform for advancing collaboration and supporting the evolving textile industry ecosystem across Southeast Asia,” said Mr. Liang.
He emphasized that the exhibition represents not just an arena for showcasing machinery, but a dynamic hub of exchange, learning, and partnership that unites the textile industry across Asia.
With over 840 leading textile machinery manufacturers from 30 countries and regions, the Singapore edition of ITMA ASIA + CITME brings together the most innovative technologies and forward-looking solutions, driving progress in spinning, weaving, dyeing, finishing, and digital transformation.
Mr. Liang underlined Singapore’s strategic role in connecting China with Southeast Asia and other regional markets, noting that the event serves as a bridge for mutually beneficial industrial cooperation.
“By leveraging Singapore’s strategic location and advantages, this exhibition will effectively link China with Southeast Asian and Middle Eastern markets, fostering a thriving, sustainable textile ecosystem,” he added.
