Turkish yarn manufacturer Göliplik Şeremet Tekstil Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. is expanding beyond yarn production by entering the fast-growing sustainable nonwovens sector through a new Wetlace™ production line supplied by ANDRITZ. The project marks a strategic investment that will enable the company to manufacture bio-based, flushable wipes for global markets.
Installation and commissioning of the new production line are scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026, with both companies reporting that the project is progressing according to plan.
Advanced Wetlace™ Technology for Sustainable Wipes
Under the agreement, ANDRITZ will supply a complete neXline Wetlace™ production system designed to manufacture high-quality roll goods for environmentally friendly, flushable wipes. The advanced technology combines wetlaid and hydroentanglement processes to produce premium nonwoven materials using sustainable, bio-based fibers.
The investment reflects the increasing global demand for biodegradable and plastic-free hygiene products as manufacturers seek more sustainable alternatives for the wipes market.
Erdogan Seremet, Owner and President of Göliplik, described the investment as a major milestone in the company’s growth strategy.
“With the installation of the ANDRITZ line, we are taking a decisive step into the nonwovens market. Our strong collaboration—built on trust and shared sustainability goals—demonstrates how a technology partnership can become a growth catalyst,” he said.

Technology Partnership Supports Long-Term Growth
ANDRITZ emphasized that the project has advanced through close cooperation between the engineering teams of both companies, supported by structured project management and transparent communication.
“Our joint approach has enabled steady progress across all project phases to date,” said Tobias Schäfer, Vice President of ANDRITZ Nonwoven & Textile.
To ensure a successful start-up, Göliplik’s operating team will receive specialized training at ANDRITZ’s dedicated Nonwovens facility in France before commissioning begins. Additional on-site training will also be provided to support the transition into commercial production.
The collaboration highlights both companies’ commitment to advancing sustainable nonwoven technologies while strengthening Türkiye’s position in the production of innovative hygiene materials.
Founded in 1987 and headquartered in Bursa, Göliplik is one of Türkiye’s leading yarn manufacturers, operating four production facilities that manufacture a broad portfolio of blended yarns. The company’s move into nonwovens represents a significant diversification strategy as demand for sustainable hygiene products continues to grow worldwide.
