VIATT 2027 to Support Vietnam’s Shift Toward Value-Added and Sustainable Textile Growth

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam – The Vietnam International Trade Fair for Apparel, Textiles and Textile Technologies (VIATT) will return to the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) from 24 – 26 February 2027, reinforcing its position as a comprehensive textile sourcing and business platform connecting Vietnam and the wider ASEAN region with international markets.
Organized by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd and the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (VIETRADE), VIATT 2027 will cover the entire textile value chain – from raw materials, yarns and fabrics to garments, home textiles, technical textiles and advanced manufacturing technologies.
The upcoming edition takes place as Vietnam’s textile and garment sector shifts towards higher value-added production, stronger domestic sourcing, digitalisation, sustainability and greener manufacturing models. The fair is positioned to support this transformation by connecting regional manufacturers with international materials suppliers, technology providers and global buyers.
VIATT 2027 Builds on Strong International Participation
The 2026 edition welcomed nearly 460 exhibitors from 21 countries and regions and attracted over 17,000 trade visits from 54 countries and regions across an exhibition area of 18,000 sqm.
The fair also strengthened its international profile through the debut of the German Pavilion and Türkiye Zone, alongside returning pavilions and zones representing China, Europe, India, Japan and Taiwan.
More than 350 business matching meetings connected exhibitors with buyers from over 20 countries and regions, highlighting VIATT’s growing role as a platform for cross-border sourcing and international textile partnerships.

Three Key Sectors Define VIATT
- Apparel Fabrics & Fashion – including apparel fabrics, yarns, fibres, garment accessories and finished garments.
- Home & Contract Textiles – covering products for residential, hospitality and contract interiors.
- Technical Textiles & Technologies – including nonwovens, textile processing, machinery, digitalisation, automation and printing technologies.
By bringing these three sectors together, VIATT enables visitors to explore multiple stages of the textile supply chain within one event, from fibres and yarns through fabrics and manufacturing technologies to finished textile products.
Vietnam Moves Toward Higher Value-Added Textile Manufacturing
VIATT 2027 comes at an important stage in the development of Vietnam’s textile and garment industry.
In the first half of 2026, the sector generated more than USD 22 billion in exports, while maintaining a full-year target of USD 48 billion. However, future growth is increasingly expected to depend on productivity improvements, market diversification, digitalisation, greener production and stronger domestic supply chains rather than simply expanding manufacturing capacity.
With more than 60% of production inputs still imported, deeper regional integration and higher domestic value addition remain important priorities for the industry.
Sustainability and Traceability Remain Central to VIATT 2027
Sustainability will continue to play an important role at VIATT 2027 through initiatives including the Econogy Hub and Econogy Check.
The sustainability platform is designed to highlight areas including certified sustainable fibres, recycled materials, circular textile solutions and traceability systems, supporting textile and garment manufacturers facing tighter ESG, environmental and compliance requirements in major export markets.
At the same time, VIATT continues to place emphasis on innovation and textile technologies as Vietnam’s manufacturing industry shifts from volume-driven production toward more advanced, efficient and differentiated products.
Innovation and Digitalisation Support Vietnam’s Textile Upgrade
The fair’s integrated structure brings material suppliers together with manufacturers and textile technology providers, creating opportunities for companies to explore new production processes and higher-value products.
Digitalisation, automation, textile processing technologies and advanced manufacturing solutions are becoming increasingly important as Vietnamese manufacturers seek to improve productivity, shorten production cycles and meet international requirements for sustainability and supply-chain transparency.
The official 2027 programme is also expected to continue providing a platform for future-focused industry discussions, with themes including sustainability regulations, digitalisation strategies, international trade and changing sourcing requirements.

VIATT Connects ASEAN Manufacturers with Global Markets
VIATT is increasingly positioning itself as both a sourcing hub and a strategic meeting point for textile businesses operating across ASEAN and international markets.
The event provides regional manufacturers with access to international fibres, fabrics, technologies and manufacturing solutions, while overseas suppliers and brands can explore Vietnam’s rapidly evolving textile production ecosystem.
For companies sourcing apparel fabrics, home textiles, technical textiles, nonwovens, machinery or production technologies, VIATT provides an opportunity to evaluate suppliers and solutions across the textile value chain in one location.
