International Trade Fair for Special Occasion Fabrics and Accessories
MODATEX EXPO is an international trade fair dedicated to special occasion fabrics and accessories. Originally launched as an extension of WEDDING FASHION MOSCOW — the largest trade show in Russia and Eastern Europe — the event has grown into an independent platform attracting fabric manufacturers and industry professionals from around the world.
The exhibition showcases products across multiple sectors, including:
- Bridal fabrics
- Eveningwear and cocktail fabrics
- Children’s ceremonial fabrics
- Ballet and carnival costume fabrics
- Dance fabrics (ballroom, Middle Eastern, etc.)
- Figure skating and rhythmic gymnastics fabrics
- Show costume fabrics and related categories
Exhibitors and Visitors
MODATEX EXPO welcomes both large factories and small design ateliers that produce exclusive items to order. Exhibitors mainly come from Turkey, China, India, Italy, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Russia, and Belarus, with industry associations often participating as national pavilions.
The event attracts influential buyers such as factories, manufacturers, designers, wholesale fabric companies, buying houses, resellers, fashion houses, and tailoring studios from countries including Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan.
In 2024 and 2025, the fair welcomed more than 6,000 trade visitors.
Co-located Event
MODATEX EXPO is held alongside WEDDING FASHION MOSCOW, creating a comprehensive platform for the apparel and textile industry and fostering valuable networking opportunities between manufacturers and buyers.
