Dates confirmed for the next MOMAD

The next MOMAD will take place from 6 to 8 February 2020 continuously from 9:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (Thursday and Friday) and from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday at the IFEMA Exhibition Centre.

The trade fair is being opened early on Thursday for the second time given the positive results this had on the September 2019 edition.

The fair will feature sustainable fashion and the winner of the 2nd “Fashion, Sustainability and Business” Contest will have their own stand as the prize for having the best sustainable collection at the last fair.

MOMAD sends out the invitation to the next fair in 2020: from 6 to 8 February. The Organising Committee has once again opted to hold the fair from Thursday to Saturday due to the high number of visitors on Thursday as compared to Sunday in the previous fairs. The schedule has also undergone a slight change: On Thursday and Friday the fair will be open to visitors from 9:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. while on Saturday it will open at the same time, but close one hour earlier, at 6:00 p.m.

MOMAD continues to focus on sustainable fashion to meet new market demands. On this occasion, the winner of the 2nd MOMAD “Fashion, Sustainability and Business” Contest, Marita Moreno, will exhibit her new collection at the next fair as the winner of the best sustainable collection prize.

This Portuguese designer, who launched a vegan line in 2017, is now offering a daring new range of shoes. In her latest project she focuses on design, without neglecting sustainability – which we can see in the material used: discarded pineapple leaves-. The leather used by Marita Moreno has not been treated with heavy metals and the designer is working intensively on her recycling line, using the left overs from previous collections.

The companies participating in Sustainable Experience are examples to follow in a market that is committed to environmentally friendly production and social and economic responsibility. The project places MOMAD among the major commercial fashion events on the international calendar, with a special emphasis on new market opportunities.
