China’s Textile Machinery Sector Leads Global Transformation Through Digitalization and Sustainability.
In his official welcome message at the opening of ITMA ASIA + CITME Singapore 2025, Mr. Gu Ping, President of the China Textile Machinery Association (CTMA), extended warm greetings to all exhibitors and industry professionals attending the event.
Mr. Gu emphasized that the textile and textile machinery sectors stand at the forefront of a global digital revolution, reshaping industrial structures and driving innovation at an unprecedented pace. He highlighted that the ongoing technological transformation is not only redefining production systems but also positioning the textile industry as a strategic driver of sustainable development worldwide.

Mr. Gu underlined China’s pivotal role in the global textile value chain, describing it as a pillar of the national economy that continues to enhance employment, exports, and living standards. Over recent years, China’s textile industry has made major strides toward digitalization and automation, with the rise of smart factories that integrate sustainability, efficiency, and advanced manufacturing.
“This evolution positions the industry as a benchmark for sustainable development, transitioning traditional manufacturing into a future-oriented ecosystem,” he added.

With more than 840 exhibitors from 30 countries and regions, ITMA ASIA + CITME Singapore 2025 serves as an essential platform for global cooperation, bringing together the full textile and apparel manufacturing value chain — from spinning and weaving to dyeing, finishing, and digital printing.
Mr. Gu noted that the exhibition not only presents end-to-end technological solutions but also acts as a vibrant bridge for business collaboration and cross-border partnership among global manufacturers and suppliers.
