Mr. Alex Zucchi, President of the European Committee of Textile Machinery Manufacturers (CEMATEX), extended a warm welcome to exhibitors and visitors during the grand opening of ITMA ASIA + CITME Singapore 2025, celebrating a historic milestone for the global textile machinery industry.
For the first time, the combined exhibition is being held in Singapore, marking a new era in the successful partnership between CEMATEX, the China Textile Machinery Association (CTMA), and The Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT (CCPIT TEX). The event brings together around 840 exhibitors from 30 countries and regions, showcasing state-of-the-art technologies across 70,000 square meters of exhibition space.
“This edition offers an exceptional platform for machinery manufacturers to forge new partnerships with the region’s leading textile and garment producers,” Mr. Zucchi stated.
Strengthening Europe–Asia Synergy
Mr. Zucchi highlighted that the Singapore edition emphasizes automation, sustainability, and digital transformation, creating a vital link between European innovation and Asia’s expanding manufacturing capabilities. He described the exhibition as a unique opportunity for European textile technology providers to strengthen their presence in both established and fast-developing markets, while contributing to enhanced production efficiency and sustainability across the region.

The President of CEMATEX underscored that ITMA ASIA + CITME continues to evolve as the region’s most comprehensive sourcing and networking platform, offering live machinery demonstrations, technical presentations, and face-to-face engagement with technology suppliers.
