PARIS — Maison & Objet officials confirmed that the fair will take place Sept. 9-13 at Paris Nord Villepinte, alongside the Sept. 9-18 Paris Design Week.
Officials noted the French government unveiled a plan last week to reopen trade fairs in a series of phases.
“In order to definitively confirm the September 2021 edition, we were impatiently awaiting for the green light from the French government,” said Phillipe Brocart, Maison & Objet’s general manager. “It’s now official: fairs and exhibitions will be able to be held again as of June 30, with no capacity limit. We are therefore able to announce that professionals will finally be able to meet in Paris as of Thursday, Sept. 9, in compliance with all the health and safety measures imposed by the authorities. The implementation of a COVID-19 pass, required by the government, seems to be likely to reassure all the participants, moreover if this also deployed on a European scale.”
Throughout this crisis period, Maison & Objet worked hard to continue to stimulate connections between brands and buyers, offering digital formats on its MOM (Maison & Objet and More) platform. MOM has recorded more than 2.7 million visitors in one year. More than 2,000 subscribed brands are now in permanent contact with 220,000 buyers and interior designers, regular users of the platform, worldwide.
As of May 4, more than 1,500 brands have committed to attending the September edition, and an online survey conducted by Maison & Objet indicated that 93% of the show’s regular visitors plan to attend.
