TEHRAN- Iran and Iraqi Kurdistan explored ways of expanding mutual economic cooperation during a two-day business forum inaugurated in the capital of Iraqi Kurdistan, Erbil, on Wednesday, IRNA reported.
As reported, senior officials from the two sides including Iran’s Ambassador to Iraq Iraj Masjedi, Iranian Industry, Mining and Trade Minister Mohammad Shariatmadari, Prime Minister of Iraqi Kurdistan Nechirvan Idris Barzani, and Iraqi Industry Minister Mohammed Shyaa al-Sudani took part in the forum.
On the sidelines of the forum, entrepreneurs of the both sides held a face-to-face meeting to introduce their capabilities to their counterparts.
Shariatmadari, who arrived in Erbil on Wednesday heading a delegation, mentioned the main goal of the forum as expansion of mutual economic ties in his first interview in the same day.
Iran and Iraqi Kurdistan also signed an MOU on development of mutual economic relations during the event.
