The summer editions of Texworld and Apparel Sourcing NYC opened their doors at Manhattan’s Javits Center this week, welcoming a strong international crowd for three days of sustainable sourcing, innovation, and textile trends. Running from July 23–25, the events are organized by Messe Frankfurt and have quickly become key sourcing destinations for U.S. buyers seeking global partnerships and eco-conscious materials.
“This season’s turnout reflects the industry’s shift toward diversified sourcing and sustainability,” said Walker Erwin, Marketing Manager, Fashion + Apparel at Messe Frankfurt. “Our exhibitors—from emerging markets to major players—offer buyers a comprehensive and efficient sourcing experience.”
Spotlight on Country Pavilions
Uzbekistan made its second appearance at Texworld with 12 companies, including first-time exhibitor Sultana Lyuks Biznes, LLC, a private-label denim producer. “We’re here to show that Uzbekistan can compete globally with quality manufacturing,” said CEO Sultana Ilyaich.
Vietnam’s Pavilion also returned with 12 exhibitors, including FasLink, a standout offering garments made from pineapple and ground coffee fibers. “Our collections promote wellness and deliver function—from UV protection to quick-dry comfort,” said FasLink CEO Spring Tran.
New Deadstock Sourcing Feature
One of the show’s key highlights is the debut of Deadstock Sourcing, a dedicated zone for upcycled materials and circular fashion solutions. “Deadstock is both a sustainable and creative resource,” noted Esther Kim, Sales Manager at Messe Frankfurt. “We’re proud to spotlight its role in today’s fashion supply chain.”
Inspiring Insights from Textile Talks
Day 1 also featured a full house for Textile Talks, including a trade-focused session on tariffs and a trend forecast for Fall/Winter 2026/27 by Nicki Gondell of Trend House. Nature-inspired textures, scarlet bordeaux reds, and oceanic blues are among the season’s forecasted highlights.
The day wrapped with a lively “Pop, Fizz & Chat” happy hour led by Texpertise’s Claudia Franz. “It’s about more than geography—it’s about guiding brands through today’s sourcing complexity with trust and innovation,” added Erwin.
Texworld NYC and Apparel Sourcing continue tomorrow with more exhibitor pitches, the Texworld Trend Showcase, Next Gen Innovation Hub, and in-depth sessions shaping the future of fashion sourcing.
