Tunisia Strengthens Sourcing Links with Italy Through Milan B2B Textile Mission

“Source in Tunisia” Event to Connect European Buyers with Tunisian Manufacturers

Milano is set to host a focused sourcing event highlighting Tunisia’s growing role in the global textile and apparel supply chain. Scheduled for May 19–20, 2026, the “Source in Tunisia” B2B meetings will take place at Hotel IBIS Milano Centro, bringing together a selected group of Tunisian manufacturers and European industry professionals.

Organized under the mandate of the CEPEX (Tunisian Export Promotion Center), the initiative aims to strengthen commercial ties between Tunisia and European markets, particularly Italy, which remains one of the key sourcing hubs for fashion brands and retailers.

A Focused Platform for Apparel and Knitwear Sourcing

The two-day event will feature 10 Tunisian producers specializing in a range of segments, including:

  • Jeanswear and casual wear
  • Women’s, men’s, and children’s apparel
  • Knitwear and tricot

Visitors will have the opportunity to explore Tunisia’s manufacturing capabilities, which are increasingly recognized for their flexibility, competitive pricing, and proximity to European markets. The event is open to industry professionals, including buyers, sourcing managers, agents, designers, consultants, and textile service providers.

To enhance the effectiveness of networking, pre-scheduled B2B meetings can be arranged upon request, allowing participants to engage in structured and targeted discussions.

Building on Previous Success and Expanding Opportunities

Following the positive outcomes of similar missions held in 2024 and 2025, this Milan edition is expected to further reinforce Tunisia’s position as a reliable nearshoring destination for European brands. Organizers have indicated that, based on the level of interest, follow-up factory visits in Tunisia may be arranged for selected participants seeking deeper collaboration.

Tunisia continues to position itself as a strategic production base, offering a combination of skilled workforce, established textile infrastructure, and advantageous geographic proximity to Europe.

A Strategic Step Toward Stronger Euro-Mediterranean Collaboration

With global sourcing strategies evolving toward speed, flexibility, and regional proximity, initiatives such as “Source in Tunisia” reflect a broader industry shift toward nearshoring solutions. The Milan event provides a valuable platform for discovering new partners, evaluating production capabilities, and building long-term business relationships within the Euro-Mediterranean textile ecosystem.
