“KTM Fairs Strengthen the Region’s Position in Textiles”

Matesa Textile Spinning Factory Manager Buket Çelebi, mill manager of the Turkey’s largest 500 industrial companies by rank, answered our questions.

Yarn Factory Manager of Matesa Tekstil, Buket Çelebi,  provide some information on Matesa Tekstil that has operated in  its facility established in Kahramanmaraş with its 30 years of experience. Çelebi reminded the establishment of the company in 1989 by Ali Galip Çalık in Kahramanmaraş and continued his speech with the following;

“We have an integrated textile complex with 3 bands operating in an area of ​​400 thousand square meters and an indoor area of ​​300 thousand square meters. As Matesa family, we are proud of the 30th anniversary of our company in 2019. ”

Çelebi answered questions about Matesa Textile’s products and product quality and says they produce a total of 140 tons / day yarn with all types of staple fiber types in carded, Combed, Combed Compact, Shantuk, Core Spun, Ring Melange, OE Melange, Vortex yarn types, underlining that they have an understanding that does not compromise on quality.

Buket Celebi also mentions what they pay attention to in their production; We have working rules required to be observed. The basic principles that Ali Galip Calik expects from all employees of the company: Honesty, discipline, cleanliness, efficiency and compatibility. These are our basic principles”, suggests Çelebi.

Quality, Continuity and Reliability

Çelebi points out in which aspects of Matesa Textile differentiates from its competitors and what makes the company different, and explaines the reasons why customers prefer Matesa:

“First of all, there is“ quality ’. It is our foremost priority to produce in accordance with the objectives of our customers, based on our motto that ‘Quality equals to the degree of conformity’ Continuity is another reason for our preference. Continuity in quality, which is created in line with the world standards and the needs of our customers, is indispensable. And of course reliability… We always offer an open and transparent approach to our customers. ”

Buket Çelebi, who also shared information about Matesa Textile’s machines and quality certificates and certificates, listed the certificates they have as follows:

COTTON USA, BCI (Better Cotton Initiative), GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard), GRS (Global Recycle Standard), FSC (Forest Stewardship Council), OEKOTEX, USTERIZED, COM4compact, COM4ring, COM4rotor.

Products Suitable for Industry 4.0 Infrastructure

“With the OE and Airjet investment we made in 2019, we have increased our daily yarn capacity to 140 tons”, states Buket Çelebi.

“The fact that the customer needs are made up of different types and low kilograms has led us to this investment so that we can respond to these requests without reducing our efficiency. Our new facility started operations in April 2019 and serves the sector with a wide range of products. Product types include all kinds of staple fibers and 100% or mixed OE and VORTEX yarns are available. ”

In 2017 and 2019, Çelebi explains that they have provided digitalization of their production and production processes with Uster Quality Expert, Rieter Spiderweb, Saurer POC and Muratec Visual Manager, which are the products suitable for Industry 4.0 infrastructure in Matesa Tekstil’s investments.

Buket Çelebi has expressed her opinion on the contribution of the KTM Fair to strengthen region’s position in the textile sector which will be held for the fifth time in Kahramanmaraş this year and shared the following, ‘KTM Fair has utmost importance since it has been regarded as the locomotive of the textile sector with its’ convenient location and easy access for sectoral representatives adding to the meeting hub feature from top to bottom in the heart of the sector. Thanks to the fair, textile representatives of the city are provided with the opportunity to conduct one-one-one appointment with the machine manufacturers and to experience new technologies’

Çelebi  has also pointed out the importance of International Kahramanmaraş Textile Machinery Fair as one of the most important shows of the region and said, ‘Exhibitors and visitors directed at Kahramanmaraş from various provinces are instrumental in experiencing both the city and the point reach of the textile sector in its’ original location ”
