General Nonwovens Selects A.Celli for New Technical Textiles Line Under €40 Million Investment Plan

Turkey’s General Nonwovens has announced its latest investment in a new production line dedicated to technical textiles, selecting A.Celli Nonwovens as its strategic machinery partner. The collaboration continues a trusted relationship dating back to 2003, reinforcing A.Celli’s role in supporting General Nonwovens’ growth and innovation.

Part of General Nonwovens’ ambitious €40 million investment program, the new line aims to expand the company’s portfolio beyond hygiene products into sectors such as automotive, filtration, and home care. To support this diversification, A.Celli will supply a comprehensive machinery suite, including the E-Wind winder, slitter rewinder, and fully automated core and shaft handling systems. The package also features A.Celli’s proprietary Slittomatic system, known for enhancing precision and flexibility in slitting operations.

Alican Yilankirkan, board member of General Nonwovens, praised the partnership:

“We value A.Celli not just as a supplier but as a long-term partner essential to our development. Their technology, responsiveness, and dedication to support have consistently exceeded industry standards. We’re confident in their expertise beyond hygiene applications, particularly for technical textiles where precision, tension control, and digital integration are critical.”

General Nonwovens’ previous collaboration with A.Celli was centered around the Reicofil 5 line for hygiene applications. The current investment signals a strategic shift towards technical textiles, with an emphasis on energy efficiency, sustainability, and advanced production capabilities.

This expansion positions General Nonwovens to serve a broader range of industries with high-performance nonwoven solutions, while further strengthening its market leadership with A.Celli’s cutting-edge machinery and support.
