Julia González, new director of the Fashion, Beauty and Lifestyle fairs organized by IFEMA

Julia González has been appointed director of the fashion, beauty and lifestyle fairs organized by IFEMA, heading up ShoesRoom by MOMAD in its biannual editions, 1001 Bodas (Weddings), Salón Look, Women Evolution and Salón Look Chile.

González has many years of experience in the world of fashion, beauty and lifestyle trends. Holding a degree in Advertising and Public Relations from the Complutense University of Madrid, the new director has been with IFEMA for 25 years, during which time she has played a leading part in organizing nine editions of the ModaCalzado fashion and footwear trade fair, the reference event for the sector.

After this experience, Julia González was in charge of Salón Look for twelve years, one of the leading trade fairs in the field of aesthetics and beauty worldwide. This is a fair that González has managed to lead and renew continuously, with its most visited edition last October registering a12.5% increase in attendance.

As for upcoming challenges, the new management team is already working intensely on greater digitization and internationalization of the next editions of the fairs, maintaining the effort that was already being made by the sales teams. Julia González faces this new stage in her career ‘with great enthusiasm and commitment to the sector so that IFEMA can continue to be an essential agent for the innovation and viability of projects focusing interest on the business side’.
