IFCO 2025: Istanbul Hosts One of the World’s Largest Fashion Industry Gatherings

The Istanbul Fashion Connection (IFCO), Europe’s largest ready-to-wear and fashion trade show, concluded its 7th edition with resounding success, bringing together the global fashion industry in the vibrant heart of Istanbul from February 5–8, 2025.

Organized by ITKIB Fairs Inc., a subsidiary of the Istanbul Apparel Exporters’ Association (IHKIB), IFCO 2025 welcomed 513 exhibitors across 8 dedicated halls, attracting over 34,000 visitors from more than 150 countries, including thousands of high-profile international buyers. The event once again reinforced Turkey’s position as a leading hub for fashion, innovation, and textile production.

A Global Showcase of Design, Technology, and Innovation

This year’s IFCO highlighted cutting-edge collections, creative design, and forward-looking textile technologies, showcasing the best of Turkish fashion to an international audience. The fair proved to be a dynamic business platform, facilitating networking, strategic partnerships, and insight into the future of fashion.

“IFCO 2025 once again proved that Istanbul is a strategic meeting point for the global fashion industry. We’re proud to bring together world-class designers, manufacturers, and decision-makers under one roof,” said a spokesperson from IHKIB.

Trend Seminars and Sustainability Dialogues

The event featured a series of well-attended seminars and panel discussions exploring the future of the industry. Highlights included a presentation by Tatiana Aldrich, Customer & Trend Consultant at WGSN, who unveiled the key macro trends and commercial must-haves for Spring/Summer 2026. Her seminar covered color palettes, product categories, and the shifting dynamics of consumer behavior.

Additionally, discussions around AI-powered solutions, sustainability, and digital transformation captured the attention of attendees eager to future-proof their fashion businesses.

THE CORE ISTANBUL: A Celebration of Turkish Creativity

One of the standout segments of IFCO 2025 was THE CORE ISTANBUL, a curated platform that featured over 25 Turkish designers showcasing their latest collections. International buyers experienced a vibrant display of authentic creativity and visionary fashion, further cementing Turkey’s role in shaping global design trends.

Runway Shows that Inspire

IFCO’s exclusive fashion shows captivated audiences with innovative collections that reflected the changing aesthetics of the modern fashion consumer. Participating brands used the runway to express their identities and connect with an international audience of buyers, media, and fashion professionals.

Digital and Green Transformation in the Fashion Industry

IFCO 2025 also marked the completion of METAMORPHOSIS, a major EU-funded project under the IPA-II Program led by IHKIB. The project focused on advancing digital and green transformation in Turkey’s ready-to-wear industry.

Mustafa Paşahan, Vice President of IHKIB, emphasized the sector’s pioneering role in this transformation: “Our industry is among the first to take concrete steps in digitalization and sustainability, ensuring long-term competitiveness in global markets.”

Save the Date: IFCO August 2025

The next edition of IFCO will be held from August 20–22, 2025, promising another colorful and trend-forward experience for the global fashion community. Registration is now open. Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of the future of fashion in Istanbul.
