Humana Apparels Increases Capacity Utilisation by 15% and Cuts Shipment Delays with Coats Digital’s FastReactPlan

Real-time planning transformation improves OTDP by 5% and boosts productivity by 8% while reducing production variability

Coats Digital is delighted to announce that Humana Apparels Pvt. Ltd., a leading outerwear manufacturer and strategic supplier to premium global brands including Hugo Boss, Marc O’Polo, Ann Taylor, and Macy’s, has significantly enhanced its operational agility and delivery performance following the implementation of Coats Digital’s FastReactPlan solution.

By digitising and synchronising its planning processes, Humana Apparels has improved capacity utilisation by 15%, reduced line idle time, increased productivity by 8%, and improved on-time delivery performance (OTDP) by approximately 5%, enabling faster, more confident responses to changing customer demands.

Humana Apparels Pvt. Ltd. is a joint venture between Busana Apparel Group and Hameem Group, combining international operational expertise with advanced manufacturing capabilities in Bangladesh. Based in Gorai, Mirzapur, Tangail, the company employs approximately 2,400 people across 28 production lines with 1,800 sewing machines, producing up to 120,000 outerwear garments per month and generating an annual turnover of around USD $30 million.

Before implementing FastReactPlan, Humana Apparels managed production planning through multiple disconnected Excel files, emails, and manual reporting processes. This fragmented approach made it difficult to align teams, respond quickly to order changes, or accurately balance capacity across production lines.

Planning cycles were time-intensive and often reactive, with delays in identifying production risks leading to shipment slippage, inefficient line loading, and missed delivery commitments. Without a unified, real-time view of production status, teams relied heavily on manual follow-ups and experience-based decision-making.

Liton Das, Sr. Manager Operation, Humana Apparels said: “We were constantly piecing together information from different sources just to understand where we stood. By the time plans were aligned, the situation on the floor had often already changed.”

To mitigate these issues, Humana Apparels partnered with Coats Digital to implement FastReactPlan as part of its broader digital transformation strategy, alongside GSDCost. The solution has enabled a fully connected planning environment, where capacity, production schedules, and order priorities are continuously synchronised. With real-time production insight and dynamic planning capabilities, teams can respond immediately to disruptions, rebalance lines, and optimise workloads without delay.

Suresh Pradhan, Head of Operation, Humana Apparels explained: “FastReactPlan has completely changed how we plan. Instead of reacting to issues after they happen, we can now see pressure points building and adjust before they impact delivery.”

The shift to synchronised, real-time planning has delivered measurable improvements across Humana Apparels’ operations. With better line balancing and more accurate capacity allocation, the business has significantly reduced idle time while increasing overall throughput. Closer coordination between planning, merchandising, and production teams has also accelerated decision-making.

Suresh Pradhan, Head of Operation, Humana Apparels added: “What used to take hours of coordination now happens in minutes. Our teams are working from the same plan, adjusting in real time, and that’s made a huge difference to both efficiency and delivery performance.”

By moving to a live planning environment, Humana Apparels has shifted from static schedules to continuously optimised production flow. Teams can now rebalance workloads as conditions change, keeping lines running efficiently and preventing bottlenecks before they escalate into delays. This has enabled more consistent output across lines, tighter schedule adherence, and a more stable production rhythm overall.

Golam Mahub Sikder, Customer Success Manager, Bangladesh, Coats Digital, said:
“What Humana Apparels has done well is move beyond incremental improvement and fundamentally rethink how their operation runs. By bringing GSDCost and FastReactPlan together, they’ve connected costing, capacity, and execution in a way that allows them to keep production aligned as conditions change. In a market where volatility is the norm, that ability to continuously recalibrate — without losing control of delivery or efficiency — is what sets leading manufacturers apart. Humana is leading the way in defining what high-performing, responsive manufacturing looks like today.”
