GSDCost Deployment Across Six Product Libraries
As part of the implementation, Winterquilts will deploy GSDCost across six product libraries, including: jersey knit and athleisure, woven shirts and blouses, woven bottoms, ladies’ fashion, babywear and childrenswear. The company has also invested in Coats Digital’s Fair Wage Tool, Thread Demand, Material Size Factor and Support Desk modules to further strengthen its digital manufacturing capabilities.
Winterquilts, one of Sri Lanka’s leading garment manufacturers and exporters, has spent more than three decades supplying high-quality apparel to some of the world’s most recognised fashion retailers, including Marks & Spencer. Operating four manufacturing facilities and employing more than 3,000 people, the company manufactures approximately 700,000 garments each month across a diverse portfolio of apparel.
As part of a plan to expand its manufacturing operations, Winterquilts recognised the need for a more consistent and structured approach to garment costing across its operations. The business wanted a more standardised approach to SMV creation, with greater visibility of individual garment operations and the ability to compare existing cost outputs against scientifically established benchmarks.
