Beaulieu Fibres International, one of Europe’s leading producers of polyolefin fibres, has once again been honoured with the “Distinguished Supplier” European Supplier Award by Yanfeng Automotive Interiors (YFAI). This marks the second consecutive year that the global automotive interiors leader has recognised Beaulieu’s technical expertise, reliability, and customer support.
The award highlights the strong and long-standing partnership between the two companies and underscores Beaulieu Fibres International’s critical role in supporting innovation within the automotive interiors sector.
Close Technical Cooperation Enables Lightweight Automotive Innovation
The close collaboration between Beaulieu Fibres International and Yanfeng Automotive Interiors during 2017 was instrumental in the successful development of YFAI’s latest generation of lightweight door panels. This achievement contributed significantly to further vehicle weight reduction, an essential goal for improving fuel efficiency and lowering emissions across the automotive industry.

The technical team at Beaulieu Fibres International worked hand-in-hand with YFAI’s development engineers, ensuring that material performance, processing efficiency, and durability met the demanding requirements of next-generation automotive applications.
The award was officially presented during YFAI’s annual European Supplier Award Ceremony, held on February 7, 2018, at the company’s European headquarters in Neuss, Germany.
In total, 15 suppliers from across Europe received awards in various categories, representing key materials and components such as plastics, resins, chemicals, foams, trim, and metal parts. Suppliers were evaluated based on strict criteria including:
