3 Day, International Garment & Textile Machinery Expo Kicks off at Port City Chattagram

A 3 Day international exhibition on Garment & Textile Machinery started today.  RedCarpet365 Limited has organized this expo at GEC Convention Center, Chattogram and will run from 10 to 12 May 2018.

Mr. A J M Nasir Uddin,Honorable Mayor, Chattogram City Corporation  – graced the exhibition by being the chief guest at the opening ceremony ad formally inaugurated the exhibition. At the opening ceremony other special guests were Mr. Moinuddin Ahmed, 1st Vice President, BGMEA, Mr. Mansoor Ahmed, 1st Vice President, BKMEA, Mr. Sayed Nurul Islam, CEO Well Group.

The opening ceremony was leaded by Mr. Ahmed Imtiaz, CEO , REdcarpet365 Ltd. He said,  Chattogram is the 2nd RMG heartland after Dhaka & known as the Commercial Capital of Bangladesh. Being the major seaport of Bangladesh, Chittagong is handling about 92% of import-export trade of the country.

Chittagong’s Rising Role in Bangladesh’s Textile and Garment Industry

The expo has almost 120 stalls with products from 12 countries including Bangladesh, China, England, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Sri Lanka, Turkey.

He also added, The vast economic potential of Chittagong, a city with unique advantages of ports, roads and railways, largely remains untapped. The port city can well drive the economy to achieve the coveted middle income status and reach the target of USD 50 billion garment export. Hosting about 40 percent of the country’s heavy industries and the second RMG heartland, the commercial city. So there is lot of opportunities with sustainable business in this area.

These exhibitions will play an important role with the latest machineries, technologies, dyes / chemicals, yarns, fabrics available for Bangladesh on display with Manufacturers / Suppliers from the world available to our Industry at the doorstep.

These Exhibitions will also no doubt provide an opportunity to our experts, engineers & technicians in the field of textile to have a practical knowledge of the recent technological advancements available, without going abroad.

BKMEA is the Associate Partner, Well Group is leading from front as Partner of the said exhibition.  CTMA – China Textile Machinery Association, (organizer of ITMA + CITME) is the Strategic Partner of this expo. Garment & Textile Machinery, Equipment, Technology & Accessories – Manufacturer, Dealers, Suppliers & Importers from Home & Abroad have participated at this mega exhibition.
