Valmont Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week postponed to June

Fira de Barcelona has decided to postpone the celebration of Valmont Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week (VBBFW), the world’s leading bridalwear event, to June 8-14 that was initially planned to take place from April 20-26 at the Montjuïc venue. The fashion shows will occupy the first days of the event while the tradeshow will be held from June 12-14.

VBBFW is planning to celebrate its 30th anniversary with 35 fashion shows and around 450 firms in the tradeshow, 74 per cent international presence from 34 countries.

The institution, which is closely following the current situation generated by the COVID-19, has decided to take this decision in order to hold the best possible edition in an expected more propitious environment and in a new date that also fits well with the industry needs.

“We are taking this decision in order to celebrate our 30th edition in a more suitable dates to ensure its success, not only because of the quality of the collections and the presence of the big national and international firms, but also because the whole bridal industry has shown all the support to what they consider their tradeshow of reference,” said Jesús Díez Betriu, the new tradeshow president and owner of the bridal firm Jesús Peiró.

“I want to express my gratitude to all the industry representatives that faced with this unexpected situation have always shown their collaboration, support and trust. We keep on working to make Valmont Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week once again the main business and trend hub for the bridal industry,” said VBBFW’s director Estermaria Laruccia.
