Tonello Delivers Its 10,000th Machine to Pacific Jeans: A Testament to Innovation, Legacy, and Partnership

A significant chapter in sustainable garment finishing unfolds as Tonello proudly delivers its 10,000th machine to long-standing partner Pacific Jeans. Far beyond a numerical achievement, this milestone celebrates a decades-long collaboration grounded in vision, innovation, and mutual growth.

A Partnership Rooted in Pioneering Vision

The relationship between the two companies dates back to the early 1990s, when Mr. M. Nasir Uddin, founder of Pacific Jeans, envisioned a transformative role for advanced garment finishing in Bangladesh. At a time when Asia’s denim industry was still in its infancy, he took a bold step—integrating Tonello’s G1 360 machine into production. This marked the beginning of a deep-rooted alliance between Mr. Uddin and Mr. Flavio Tonello, bound by a shared commitment to technological excellence.

The Next Generation Carries the Flame

Today, the partnership flourishes under new leadership. Mr. Syed M. Tanvir and Mr. Syed M. Tahmir, sons of the founder, continue to grow the relationship alongside Ms. Alice Tonello, R&D and Marketing Director. Together, their teams uphold core values of sustainability, innovation, and responsible development.

“The delivery of our 10,000th machine represents more than a production milestone,” noted Alice Tonello. “It’s a narrative of two companies evolving in sync, consistently pushing boundaries and redefining garment finishing with a purpose-driven approach.”

The Future of Garment Finishing

The newly delivered machine incorporates Tonello’s latest digital and responsible finishing technologies, tailored to the demands of Pacific Jeans’ production. While tools and systems have advanced, the heart of this partnership remains unchanged: a joint effort to drive sustainability and innovation across the global apparel industry.

Reflecting on the moment, Mr. Syed M. Tanvir, Managing Director at Pacific Jeans, remarked:

“My father was a pioneer who dared to imagine a premium denim ecosystem in Bangladesh. His foresight in adopting the G1 360 machine was revolutionary at the time.
Our journey with Tonello has always been about pursuing smarter, more sustainable laundry solutions—together. This 10,000th machine is a proud symbol of how far we’ve come.”

Tanvir emphasized the mutual trust and agility that have sustained the collaboration: “Tonello has always responded swiftly to market changes with relevant, forward-thinking solutions. This is more than a supplier relationship—it’s a strategic alliance built to last.”

Shaping the Future, Together

This moment signifies a shared evolution: a joint commitment to reducing environmental impact, conserving resources, and enhancing social responsibility. Through shared expertise and innovation, Tonello and Pacific Jeans continue to elevate industry standards while championing responsible manufacturing.

As both companies look ahead, this milestone not only honors the past but also empowers the future—a tribute to visionary leadership and the enduring power of collaboration.
