SGS Expands Textile Testing Service in Tunisia

SGS, world’s leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company, has expanded its textile testing service in Tunisia.

Its facilities in Tunisia not only ensure that all the requirements of local customers are met but also provide international standard service for its clients worldwide.

SGS started it services in Tunisia back in 2009; however, in less than a decade, SGS has enhanced its laboratory capacity in Tunisia to do both physical and chemical testing in order to meet customer demands in textile industry.

The textile laboratory in Tunisia is ISO 17025 accredited and CPSC approved. With this expansion, SGS expects to provide better and quicker services to all the local textile manufacturers and brands needing to comply with international laws and regulations.

Tunisia is known for its expertise in the production of denim, knitwear and underwear. With an export turnover of over €3 billion, Tunisia is one among the top ten suppliers to EU’s garment sector.
