Using Uster statistic percentile for Checking the performance accuracy of spinning quality control laboratory equipment

Author: Qasem Heydari, MSc. textile engineer, polytechnic university, Tehran/ Kohan Textile Journal

Sometimes it has happened to you that you have measured one of the parameters of fiber, sliver, roving or yarn using laboratory equipment and the accuracy of the obtained results and the accuracy of the operation of the measuring equipment not approved for you.

In these cases, Uster statistical information can be used. For example, if you obtained results using a yarn twist tester, check the accuracy of the yarn twist tester performance by comparing the results with Uster statistics.

Note that since the amount of yarn twist and yarn twist angle can be adjusted separately for each factory according to market needs, comparing the twist average and twist angle index with the Uster statistical results is not fruitful and the coefficient of variation can be used. But it is fruitful that you check means of results with set value on the producing machine.

Combed yarn twist (30Ne): 873,795,780,843,818,838,841,861,821,798,804.

According to the table, the accuracy of the operation of the twist tester is confirmed. This analysis can be performed for any of the spinning laboratory equipment.
