GTE: One Brand, Four Strategic Platforms Powering India’s Garment Manufacturing Industry

September 18 @ 8:00 am - September 20 @ 5:00 pm EEST
GTE Bengaluru 2026 garment technology exhibition in India

As India’s textile and apparel industry accelerates its modernization journey, the Garment Technology Expo (GTE) continues to strengthen its position as the country’s leading platform for garment manufacturing technology, machinery, automation, and production solutions.

What makes GTE unique is its multi-city approach. Rather than serving a single market, the exhibition operates through four strategic regional editions, each targeting one of India’s major apparel manufacturing clusters and bringing technology closer to garment producers, exporters, brands, and sourcing professionals.

With a legacy spanning more than 25 years and 39 successful editions, GTE has evolved into a nationwide platform connecting machinery suppliers with India’s rapidly growing apparel ecosystem.

Four Regional Editions, One Industry Mission

GTE Bengaluru – South India

Scheduled for 18–20 September 2026 at Gayatri Vihar Palace Ground, Bengaluru, the 40th edition of GTE Bengaluru serves one of India’s most advanced garment manufacturing regions.

Southern India remains a powerhouse for knitwear, apparel exports, technical expertise, and large-scale manufacturing. Bengaluru, Tiruppur, Chennai, and surrounding industrial clusters are home to some of India’s most sophisticated textile and apparel operations.
The exhibition focuses on automation, digitalization, sewing technologies, embroidery, printing, finishing, software solutions, and smart manufacturing technologies designed to enhance productivity and competitiveness.

GTE Delhi-NCR – North India

The 41st edition will take place on 26–29 March 2027 at India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida.

Delhi-NCR represents one of India’s largest apparel sourcing and export hubs, supported by major manufacturing clusters including Noida, Gurugram, Faridabad, and Ghaziabad.
The region’s integrated value chain—from fabric sourcing and product development to manufacturing and exports—makes it a critical destination for machinery suppliers seeking access to large-scale garment producers and international sourcing houses.

GTE Coimbatore – South India’s Knitwear Capital

The 42nd edition is scheduled for 5–7 August 2027 at Codissia Trade Fair Complex, Coimbatore.

Known as the engineering and knitwear heartland of South India, Coimbatore plays a crucial role in textile manufacturing, spinning, knitting, dyeing, and apparel production.
The event targets manufacturers seeking advanced machinery, automation technologies, sustainable production solutions, and productivity-enhancing equipment.

GTE Kolkata – Eastern India’s Emerging Apparel Hub

The 43rd edition will be held in November 2027 in Kolkata.
As eastern India gains momentum as a sourcing and manufacturing destination, Kolkata is becoming increasingly attractive for textile and garment investments.

Supported by a strong MSME base, growing export activities, and a skilled workforce, the region offers significant opportunities for machinery manufacturers and technology providers looking to expand their footprint in eastern and northeastern India.

Comprehensive Coverage of Garment Manufacturing Technologies

GTE covers virtually the entire apparel manufacturing value chain, including:

  • Sewing and embroidery machinery
  • Textile printing technologies
  • Digital printing solutions
  • Dyeing and finishing equipment

The exhibition attracts machinery manufacturers, garment producers, exporters, buying houses, sourcing professionals, retailers, designers, consultants, and industry associations.

Supporting India’s Manufacturing Transformation

India’s garment industry is undergoing a significant transformation driven by automation, export expansion, sustainability requirements, and increasing global sourcing opportunities.

According to information presented by the organizers, India’s textile machinery market was valued at approximately US$1.14 billion in 2024, while the country’s textile and apparel production exceeds US$175 billion. Rising investments in technology adoption, MSME modernization, and production efficiency continue to create strong demand for advanced machinery solutions.

The industry’s key priorities include:

Automation and Productivity

Manufacturers are increasingly investing in smart machinery and automated production systems to address labor challenges and improve operational efficiency.

Export Competitiveness

Global sourcing shifts and international trade opportunities are encouraging apparel producers to modernize facilities and meet international standards.

Sustainability and Compliance

Environmental regulations and buyer requirements are accelerating investments in resource-efficient machinery, traceability systems, and sustainable manufacturing technologies.

A Trusted Platform for Technology Adoption

Over nearly four decades of successful editions, GTE has built a reputation as one of India’s most influential garment technology exhibitions.

Previous editions have featured:

  • More than 200 exhibitors
  • 650+ represented brands
  • Nearly 19,000 professional visitors
  • 140,000 sq. ft. of exhibition space
  • Four days of business networking and technology demonstrations

For machinery manufacturers, technology providers, and apparel producers, GTE offers a practical platform to evaluate new technologies, compare solutions, establish partnerships, and identify growth opportunities across India’s diverse textile and apparel landscape.

Looking Ahead

With dedicated editions in Bengaluru, Delhi-NCR, Coimbatore, and Kolkata, GTE has successfully created a nationwide exhibition network that mirrors India’s major garment manufacturing regions.

As the country strengthens its position as a global apparel sourcing destination, the Garment Technology Expo continues to serve as a bridge between technology suppliers and manufacturers, helping accelerate innovation, automation, and sustainable growth across India’s textile and garment industry.
