Textile Vita Couture-Diprints invests 220 Million DH in two factories in Tangier

The Vita couture-Diprints group has opened last week in the Tanger free zone two industrial units specializing in digital fabric printing and ready-to-wear clothing, for an investment of MAD 220 million.

The “Diprints” factory, specializing in digital printing on fabric, is the result of a joint venture with the Spanish textile group Santandarina. The factory employs 110 people.

The ready-to-wear clothing “Vita couture” factory has 20 production lines, and will create around 2,200 direct and indirect jobs.

The production of the two units, installed on a 23,000 m2 area, is intended exclusively for export.

The Vita Couture-Diprints group collaborates with leading ready-to-wear brands in the development of their women’s and girls’ clothing collections and offers tailor-made solutions, whether for finished products (picking) or co-contracting. It ensures the design, development and manufacture of various collections, including sourcing fabrics and accessories.

During the factories opening ceremony, Minister of Industry and Investment, Moulay Hafid Elalamy, emphasized that the activities of the Group are part of the current dynamics of the sector and align perfectly with the orientations of the strategy of the textile industry. This strategy seeks to integrate further the value chain of the sector, to strengthen production capacity in the Moroccan clothing industry and to densify the textile ecosystem Fast-Fashion.

“Our site comes to complete the vision of offering our customers quality service in a very short delivery time,” said Mohammed Boubouh, president and founder of the Vita Couture group.

“The complete integration of the production cycle and mastery of the supply chain allow the group to win contracts formerly reserved for Spanish or Turkish manufacturers,” he added.
Thanks to modern high-capacity digital printing machines and a garment unit with a total capacity of 20 garment lines, the group can respond to large orders from major international fashion groups, he said.

The textile export industry is of strategic importance for Morocco and it has been growing for the last seven years. It is one of the main contributors to national industry operations. The textile sector reached a value of MAD 38 billion in 2018, employing over 79,000 people and exporting to 75 countries.
