Texworld New York City: Day 2 – To be Continued…

Texworld New York City and Apparel Sourcing New York City continue to foster sourcing relationships between exhibitors and attendees from around the globe. An Attendee favorite, the “Spring/Summer 2025: Inspirations on Color, Trend, Textiles and Apparel from Doneger/TOBE” event, curated by Kai Chow, unfolded as an exciting exploration. Attendees got a deep dive into Chow’s insights on color, trend, and apparel concepts, truly feeling the essence of Spring/Summer 2025. The presentation expertly showcased the four major themes—SOLACE, FRAGRANCE, AMUSE, and PROSPECTIVE—offering a diverse vision of future fashion.

After the presentation, participants engaged in a hands-on Explore the Floor Tour of the Trend Showcase, connecting with the showcased trends in a tangible way.

PRINTSOURCE X TEXWORLD NYC

Texworld NYC is thrilled to announce our partner show, Printsource New York had a very successful show so far with many packed booths. The co-located event seamlessly integrated the largest textile-sourcing event on the East Coast with Printsource’s approach to surface design creators who brought out many creative showcases. This collaboration continues to expand sourcing opportunities, offering attendees an extended range of products, from apparel to home goods.

“It’s my first show and it was a big opportunity to be here and get in touch with big clients. I already made a couple of leads with licensing and I am looking forward to making big sales.” – Nina & Cala (Booth #J20)

Moreover, attendees had the unique opportunity to witness onsite live painting by Animotis Art at Booth #K27 in the Printsource area. Animotis Art transformed basic prints into captivating paintings right before their eyes. The seamless integration of Texworld NYC, Printsource, and Animotis Art provided industry professionals with an efficient and inspiring platform for sourcing and creative exploration.

At the end of the day, Printsource also hosted a thrilling Happy Hour for exhibitors to have a chance to source from textile design collections from the US and International design studios. The event was a fast and efficient way for suppliers to shop for prints and patterns for their collections.

A FULL DAY OF EDUCATIONAL SEMINARS THAT ENDED WITH A FASHION SHOW!

The second day of textile talks kicked off with the “Sourcing Outlook 2024” with former Founder of Sourcing Journal and now CEO of Hertzman Global Ventures, Edward Hertzman. Joining the panel along with him was Murali Gokki, Managing Director from BRG, Bjorn Bengtsson, Chief Product & Supply Chain Officer from UNTUCKit LLC, and Mansi Thar Arora, Group Vice President of Sourcing and Product Development from Sparc Group LLC. Attendees joined to learn about what’s on the horizon as well as the strategies leading sourcing, supply chain and logistics insiders have for tackling the year’s biggest risks and capitalizing on the most promising opportunities.

To top it all off, the SAKURA COLLECTION celebrated with a fashion show showcasing the fusion of Japanese textiles with top-notch designers Hosted by Yamada-Ori and Yamasawa Press Co., the event spotlighted “Natsu-Shiozawa” silk fabric and “One-o-Five” upcycled denim. With over 200 designs from 28 countries, the event was a hub of creativity and cultural exchange. Attendees left with a profound appreciation for the diverse design perspectives and the impactful influence of tradition on the global fashion landscape.

WHAT TO EXPECT TOMORROW…

Join us tomorrow for the last day full of sourcing opportunities! We will finalize the day with continuous Textile Talks seminars and Explore the Floor with leading industry professionals. Tomorrow at noon, Thomasine Dolan Dow and other innovators will host the Next-Generation Hub Tour where they will discuss the innovation behind their products and answer attendees’ questions. At 2:00 PM, Milena Buttarello, a design expert from Arsutoria School in Italy will be giving a presentation on the latest trends and innovations in footwear and leather accessory designs. Visitors will spend the final day exploring products, networking, and sourcing the latest sustainable materials.
