Textile Machinery Manufacturers Meets at KTM

KTM2014 accepted as the most important fair of the region despite being organized for the first time was held successfully in Kahramanmaraş

Textile machinery manufacturers introduced their new technology machines in the fair where 267 international participants from 22 countries including Italy, France, Germany and China.

World famous textile machinery manufacturers introduced their newly developed machines at KTM2014 in operating order. The fair which was held in Kahramanmaraş by ECR Fair Organisation and will be held every two years from now on attracted a great deal of interest from both Turkish companies and international organizations.  In the fair hosting 267 enterprises, 196 of which were foreign organizations, Germany and Italy stood out with 49 and 47 participants, respectively. Participants from Austria, Belgium, the United Kingdom, China, France, India, Spain, Switzerland, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and Turkey which are leading textile machinery manufacturers also established new business ties and made sales at KTM2014.

Business Potential beyond Expectations

Visits of 7891 firm executives from 21 different cities including Gaziantep, Adana, Osmaniye, Kayseri, Niğde, Şanlıurfa, Adıyaman, Bursa, Denizli, Uşak and Kahramanmaraş, in particular, which are among the target markets of the fair pleased the participants.

The message that Swiss Rieter, one of the international participants coming to Kahramanmaraş for KTM2014 Textile Machinery Fair, delivered through Erbel Representation Agency says: “Kahramanmaraş Textile Machinery Fair held in Kahramanmaraş Fair Centre on 23-25 October 2014 turned out to be really successful for us as Rieter&Erbel and was appreciated on our part owing to its visitor density as well as its content enriched after it was combined with the 2ndInternational Textile Summit.

If it is necessary to summarize KTM fair with one sentence: “Kahramanmaraş adopted its fair!”
As Rieter & Erbel Family, we are proud of having hosted more than 300 visitors from almost 100 companies from 15 different cities in our stand and on this occasion, we extend our thanks to our clients, each of whom is also a member of our family, and to anyone somehow contributed to KTM2014.”

Diana Profir, Institutional Marketing and Communication Director of ITEMA S.p.a. which displayed R9500 weaving machine in operating order at KTM 2014 made a written statement to the Turkish and world press on the second day of the fair and said that: “We are pleased to have been visited by Uşak-centred Alperteks Mensucat A.Ş. during KTM2014. We started to work with Alperteks Mensucat A.Ş. in 2012 and we now have sold more than 100 A9500 machines thanks to their repeated orders and thus, we are highly pleased to have been visited by a delegation consisting of Sait Alper, Chairman of the Governing Board; Mehmet Alper, General Director; Mesut Okçu, Factory Director as well as the investment advisors team of the company during the fair.”

Speaking in relation to the fair which was held with the support of Istanbul Textile and Raw Material Exporters’ Association (ITHIB), Mediterranean Textile and Raw Material Exporters’ Association (ATHIB) with the cooperation of Kahramanmaraş Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KMTSO), Kemal Karaküçük, Chairman of the Governing Board of KMTSO, said that: “KTM2014, Kahramanmaraş Textile Machinery Fair, is organised with the participation of hundreds of textile machinery manufacturers from Europe, China, America and Taiwan. Hosting the global leaders of the sector in this city with this giant organisation encourages us and at the same time stimulates us to make more successful investments in the textile sector. From now on, Kahramanmaraş will show its successful performance in terms of production in the fields of R&D, fashion designs, fair, and symposium and congress organisations.”

Textile turns back to its home

During the International Textile Summit (ITS) held concurrently with KTM2014 in Kahramanmaraş, 6 sessions, 5 panels and one R&D project market exhibition were organized. While 57 speakers including local and foreign Academicians and Industrialists made presentations during the symposium, 70 projects were exhibited in the R&D Project Market. In the symposium where all the components of the sector were addressed, expectations and future of the textiles sector were discussed.
