MUNICH FABRIC START AW 22/23 & BLUEZONE

MUNICH FABRIC START AW 22/23 & BLUEZONE

Showcase around 1,000 international collections in Munich

We are ready for a reunion! The time has come: Munich Fabric Start Exhibitions GmbH has been working for months to welcome the textile industry back to a physical show in Munich.

All the more grateful are the organisers to be able to realise the International Textile Trade Show MUNICH FABRIC START from 31/08 – 02/09/2021 in the MOC Munich as well as the International Denim Trade Show BLUEZONE from 31/08 – 01/09/2021 on the newly designed Zenith area with an international portfolio of around 1,000 collections.

In keeping with the seasonal title of MUNICH FABRIC START – RISE – visitors are invited to be inspired, meet long-term partners and finally experience materials live again in their diversity and depth.

“We couldn’t be happier at the moment, because in a few days we will finally bring the textile industry back together in Munich! As organisers, we have literally turned every stone in order to create a safe, creative environment for the industry for efficient work and inspiration under the new conditions. In addition to the high-quality supplier portfolio, we are very proud to be able to offer known and valued services such as free lunch and coffee bars despite the situation, as well as numerous innovations: for example, a newly designed sustainability area for sourcing of future-oriented materials, an event program with panel discussions and keynotes with international experts and BLUEZONE in a BACK TO THE FUTURE atmosphere.” Sebastian Klinder, Managing Director Munich Fabric Start

An extensive hygiene concept for the safety of all trade show participants

Organising trade shows that offer an inspiring, informative and safe working environment altogether is a major challenge in uncertain times. Of course, the organisers are aware of their great responsibility and have done everything to ensure that the entire event area of more than 40,000 square meters is Covid-19 compliant.

With specialist staff and in close coordination with Messe München and the authorities, the organisers have developed a hygiene concept that meets the official requirements and even goes a few steps further. The entire concept can be found at www.munichfabricstart.com, whereby the following three points are particularly important for international trade show visitors:

  • Entry and exit: Visitors should proactively inform themselves about the travel and safety information of the respective country to and from Germany on the official homepages, whereby, according to AUMA, exception rules apply in some cases for trade show participants, for example, the elimination of the quarantine obligation for travellers from high-risk areas with proof of participation in the trade show.
  •  3 screening rules: The “3 screening rules” decreed by the federal government applies on the exhibition grounds: Tested/ Recovered/ Vaccinated. At screening stations in front of the exhibition halls, compliance with the 3 rules is checked by trained staff on each day of the exhibition. A valid Covid-19 test, a recovered certificate or a vaccination certificate recognised in Germany must be available.
  •  FFP2 mask requirement: Visitors are required to wear an FFP2 mouth and nose cover on the entire exhibition grounds, which is provided free of charge if required.

Newly designed areas, inspiring trend forums & a diverse and focused event program

In addition to much needed personal exchange, the shows offer a large pool of inspiration and information for the development of Autumn.Winter 22/23 collections. The trend forums show the 5 trend topics of MUNICH FABRIC START as well as the 4 denim trend topics of BLUEZONE, which are also described in detail in the Trend Book and Color Code available on site and online.

Holistic, sustainable solutions are presented in the newly designed ReSOURCE X SUSTAINABLE INNOVATIONS forum. The close interaction of the platforms focused on sustainable materials and innovations, offers orientation, depth of information and specific application options for the sourcing of futuristic textiles.

The denim show BLUEZONE and the innovation hub KEYHOUSE are also merging – and are presented in the Zenith hall as well as in a spacious denim park outside in a new ambience: True to the look and feel of the BACK TO THE FUTURE motto, visitors can expect black and neon heavy 80’s aesthetics.

The neighbouring coal bunker will be a meeting point for live speeches and networking: a Covid-19 compliant lecture forum for relevant keynotes, expert talks and panel discussions. Some highlights are:
