International Designer Michael Costello is the First Name to Confirm for MBFWMadrid September 2024

The Spring-Summer ’25 season will be presented at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid from 12 to 16 September 2024 in Hall 14.1 of the IFEMA MADRID Recinto Ferial and other unique venues in the city of Madrid.

The 80th edition of the longest-running and most important fashion industry event in Spain, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid, has started revealing who will be headlining the official calendar for the Spring-Summer ’25 season. The first big name is American designer Michael Costello, who will premiere in Spain on the MBFWMadrid catwalk.

Although he has only been in Spain for a few months, he is already one of the most recognised fashion creators of recent times due to the quality of his designs and his popularity among celebrities. In fact, he is a favourite designer of superstars such as Beyoncé, Lady Gaga and JLo, who have chosen to wear his pieces.

Michael Costello’s creations have graced numerous red carpets around the world, from the Grammys to the Oscars. His designs were recently in the spotlight at the Festival de Málaga worn by actresses Goya Toledo and Olivia Baglivi. The American designer has received support from Spanish celebrities such as Paula Echevarria, who often wears his clothes, and Esther Cañadas, the muse of his latest collection Michael Costello x Revolve.

MBFWMadrid, organised by IFEMA MADRID with the support of Madrid City Council, is backed by leading firms in its sector, such as Mercedes-Benz, L’Oréal Paris and Inditex, the main sponsors who remain faithful to the event; Allianz, Iberia and MO, who participate as sponsors; and Dorsia Clinicas, GHD, Udit-University of Design, Innovation and Technology, Comunidad de Madrid, Málaga de Moda that participate together with the corporate identity of Diputación de Málaga, Junta de Castilla y León, Mar de Frades, Schweppes and Martin Miller’s Gin, as collaborators. The Business School ESDEN and Kellogg’s also take part.
